So I'm looking to upgrade from my iTaste MVP 2. I am stuck on whether I should get the VTR or the SVD. I like the SVD because it's small and made of stainless steel, but I've heard that the VTR is a beastly performer. I don't like how heavy the VTR is, but I also don't really like how tall the SVD is.

Should I get one of the above, or do you guys have any other suggestions? I am on a budget. Nothing outrageously expensive.

they are a year old now, i don't have any suggestions though, but the VTR is $75 ish from memory, you should be able to get a newer mod for that price.
I have a VTR and it's nice, 15 watts, heavy beast though, but not very tall, so you can slip it into jeans and not have the tip poke out of your pocket
also before you buy a VTR, ask if the 510 connector spins, you want one that doesn't, the spinning 510 connector is the old model with known issues

I have both the VTR and SVD and while I've used the VTR extensively for about 7 months, the SVD is starting to crap out. While still fully functional with a fully charged battery I'll get red or yellow glow of button. Way too often it'll turn itself off. I no longer recommend it due to that.

The VTR weighs just short of a pound with the atty but it's my reliable and go to PV anywhere and everywhere, even after being dropped a few time. I got used to the weight very quickly.

And, it doesn't really resemble folks picture of an e-cig and they really don't seem to know what it is.

I switched my at-home vape from the VTR to a pair of black, logoless Hana Mini mod clone from Cloupor. Smaller, lighter, works great. When I'm using one, I charge the other.

My only regret is that the Clouposr don't have a recessed well for the clearomizer like the VTR does. But since I don't carry them around, the trade-off is worth it.
