iTaste VTR problems

I have two VTRs, one from vapor beast and the other from an ECF coop. Neither have this issue. Your unit is defective. Contact your vendor for a replacement.

I purchased a VTR about a week ago, and it has similar issues. The ohm reading is NON. I have tried new coils and also tried the adapter and a 510 tank and still reads NON. If I apply pressure to the tank, on occasion it will fire, but not very often. Seller is of no assistance and I am waiting on a response from Innokin regarding the issue.

Anybody still having trouble with the ohm meter/VW setting on this thing? Love almost every aspect except for the problems relating to the 510 wheel. Tried cleaning out the well with cotton swabs/alcohol prep pads/toothpicks/etc. and rotating the wheel for minutes in both directions. Ohm meter tends to run 0.2 ohms high for all "correct" readings and as much as 3.5 ohms high when giving faulty ones.

Anybody figure this out yet or is this something I'll have to live with? Apologies for the placement of this post. Any links or advice would be appreciated.

Set up is currently: the VTR using CGR18650CH batteries, protank 2, 2.2 ohm and 2.5 ohm heads, AVE juice.

I havent had any problems with the ohm reading, they match my multi meter within .1
I am having a battery longevity issue. 4 hours max on a IMR18650...I am going to attribute it to a crappy cheap battery.

What the MaH on your 18650s? I'm running 2600 mah 18650 and don't have any issues.

I've heard people have some longevity issues with lower mah batteries.

2000

I am wanting it to last all day easily without question, what mAh would you recommend?

I usually go through 2 iclear 30s a day, 2.1 ohm, setting usually around 8w.

Hi guys......my first post and I think I've found a work around for this issue.
I started suffering the same issue over this weekend using my VTR and a pro tank II. The ohms all over the place and the tank just wobbled and would never properly screw in. I put my I clear 30s back in the VTR and it worked perfectly so I got to thinking that maybe the length/diameter of the protank thread might just be on the edge for the VTR. So.....here's what I did...
1) Went through all my "spares" box and found a 510 / EGO adaptor (the type you would use if your carto has a skirt)
2) Again, in my spares box, took the protank vanity ring (you'd use this if you were putting a tank onto a standard ego battery)
3) Lightly screwed the 510 adaptor and vanity ring into the base of the VTR.
4) Then screwed the protank into the top of the adaptor / vanity ring and screwed until finger tight.

For me....this works like a charm, stable ohms and tank no longer loose.
Obviously the tank is a slightly more raised than before, but it doesn't look odd and still ends up being about the same height as the Iclear 30s

Love the VTR.....love the protank......gutted when this problem happened but had my VTR for a while now and was not convinced I'd get a replacement.

Hope this work around helps for anyone who still struggle to get a replacement VTR and wants to stick with a protank and VW.

Cheers.....

My Vtr just started shutting off when ever i push the top function button it shows the Ohms then shuts off . I can not enter the menu options at all ... It still vapes fine I had it set at 15 watts . i tried changing the battery a number of times no difference I got it from coast to coast vaping supply

Loved my VTR purchased in a co-op here until this exact problem occurred...within 3 days it no longer would operate at all. Innokin was of no help. I will not buy anymore Innokin products except maybe from Fast Tech since they give a 6 month guarantee. My VTR was replaced with a classified Provari. Less that 4 months of daily (and babied use) is unacceptable in my book for a mod in that price range.

I agree KJ ..If anyone is buying the VTR you better be sure you are covered with a good retailer .
I have current problem with my 5 day old devise ..incorrect erratic ohms read ..hit fire button non fire and display reads NON ..
Called my retailer Vaporpal Joanne immediate replacement sent same day ..Be sure if you have problems you are covered ..
I only had the original unit for 5 days and had run a few different tanks with adapter on it before the fault showed up ....
lets see what happens with new one .....i will post if any further problems ..
