Hi all,

So after some consideration about upgrading my setup, I've decided to take a baby step only and get one of these so I can see what all the fuss about VV/VW is.

A kit I've seen comes with 5 x iClear16 dual coil clearomisers. This is nice, as I currently use completely disposable, non-rebuildable clearos. The site also sells the replacement dual coil iClear 16 heads, 1.5 and 2.1 ohms.

What's the difference between the two? The starter kit doesn't mention what the iClear16s come with by default - I figured I'd just get 5 of the other so I could see for myself what the difference was.

NB. Purchasing from myepack as have seen a few posts mentioning them.

It would be best to try both resistances to see which one you prefer. Everyone has their own personal preference.

Generally speaking, the lower the resistance (lower ohm number) the warmer the vapor will be. The higher the resistance, the cooler the vapor will be. Lower resistance will drain a battery slightly faster than higher resistance coils will because low resistance coils pull more amps (current) from the battery to fire it at a hotter/faster rate.

Thank you both! That has answered my question completely. Now to hit that buy button! *excited*

Great! I bought the pack with the 5 x iClear16s. I've not used them all yet. They are OK, but not my favourite.

I have no preference between 1.5 and 2.1, not on a VW eGo-type battery. Generally, even with variable power, I don't go over 2.4ohms anyway.

The VVv3 is a great device! My husband still uses his often. I didn't much like the iclear 16 but they will def be better then the disposables you've been using. On a variable watt device, the resistance matters less, as you can adjust to taste. It all comes down to personal preference really, so I suggest you try both. Lower resistance coils can heat up fast, but use less coils. That decreases surface area for the juice. Higher resistance coils uses more wire and increases surface area, but may take a bit longer to heat.

So the iClears leak in to the mouth piece, just like my disposables. I'm getting sick of this! This time, it appears that the hole for the air (the bit you shouldn't get juice down when refilling) is not perfectly straight, meaning that when the mouth piece os screwed on, it's not making perfect contact. I'm assuming.

Please, help me! What should I get? A Mini Protank 2? Are these more reliable? I still like the idea of being able to buy reasonably priced replaceable coil/wick - I don't want to build my own. I can't even see a wick in the pics of the Mini PT2.

Getting juice into the chimney / drip tip is often an indication that you're drawing too hard. Try gentler (and maybe longer) pulls.

You didn't buy that setup for the tanks but the vv battery I am guessing. How full do you fill the tanks to start with maybe a bit too much? Have you tried taking it off your battery and blowing the excess juice out? I have the itaste vv 3 and love it I use iclear 16 with no problems either. With that said I did move up to a mvp2 for the longer battery life. A good tank to try is a bottom feed dual coil. I love my areotank mini and mega. I also use the aspire BDC they make different size tanks the small ones are just a couple bucks more than the iclear 16.. Wicks are about 3 bucks on line. All those tanks will give good flavor and good vapor depending on your juice. Youtube them and go from there. Your vv is waiting for a tank to do it justice lol.

Thank you all! I bet it is me. As an ex-smoker, I've read that we need to learn how to vape properly. My dad gets the same issue, and when I see him draw, it's like he's trying to get the entire tank full of juice in his mouth, so that's definitely his problem.

I'm going to clean this tank out and start again, attempting a better technique. I love to watch vaping videos, so I have my night planned.

Thank you again!

Probably the best option is to pick up a mini protank II along with a pack of heads. You can learn to rebuild the heads with wire and cotton fairly easily which radically improves your vape. It takes some trial and error to get it right so stick with it.

The other option is to get one of these new kayfun minis. I've never worked with them because they look too long.
