Smoked my last cigarette on February 8th of this year. vaping has been an amazing tool to keep me off of them, but at this point it's more frustrating than anything else. Keeping the filler wet, slotting cartos every week or two, keeping a supply of juice...the hobby that got me off smokes just kind of stopped being a good time and started getting in the way =/. So, I'm done.

I put down my ProVari Thursday night and haven't picked it up since, and let me tell you, it was leaps and bounds easier than putting down the smokes. For the first time in 9 years I don't have a non-necessary chemical dependence and I'm stoked.

Now the hard part is keeping it that way for any length of time =).

I'll be getting rid of most of my juice and equipment, but I'll keep ahold of my KGO, an atomizer and a little bit of juice just in case. I'm pretty sure I won't need it though, I think I've got it licked.

I guess I'm not a vaper anymore.

Awesome man! Yeah, quitting vaping (or snus as I did back in the day) is WAY easier than quitting analogs!

That being said, I highly recommend you keep SOMETHING around in case you need it. I was totally clean for about a year but the itch never totally left. Then there was that one drunken night... most of us know the drill. Having your vape-stick to fall back on will save you from hitching up to the analog demon again.

awesome. I believe this is the goal we are all trying to achieve. I agree It's nothing but a money pit in the beginning, but I think It wouldn't be to bad once you find that daily setup. It's good to hear someone with such a positive attitude towards the subject, way to go man! I to would like to gradually step down in nic until I get to the point where vaping is useless. I don't really see the point in vaping 0 nic juices, but that's just me. I'm in it for the nicotine, no point in vaping with it being absent.

keep us posted..

LOL, no kidding! I spent a lot of money when I was really active on these forums, had the sense to stick with what I liked the most once I got up and going, lol, but in my first two months I had $800 invested instead of the $230/mo I was spending smoking so I had to settle that down. I'm in the positive now, something like $300 saved, and that'll just grow (thank god).

I've had an inquiry or two on the ProVari already. Right now I have it and most of my "collection" holding for a friend for $120 if he wants it, and if he doesn't I'll probably be offering the whole shebang up in the classifieds for probably a bit more than the good friend deal, but not unfair. If/when that happens I'll update this thread and let everybody know.

Thank you guys for the support =).

Congrats...

However I must say it is not my goal...I may be way different than many here but with Alzheimer's attacking almost every grand parent and great grand parent I intend to maintain a low dosage of nicotine for the rest of my life. I vape 12mg during the day and 6 in the evening and plan on cutting that back to 6 and 3 in the next few months then eventually going to 3 all day long.

Congratulations! At this early stage, I don't know if my goal is to graduate to 3mg for life, or quit altogether. I'm assuming technology is going to make this REAL easy and more satisfying down the road, and I DO like the nic. Something about sitting in a big chair with a book and a nice flavor makes me think they'll be prying a mod out of my cold, dead fingers.
