Hola amigos,

So yeah, it's been about six months for me now.

I'm not counting a few analogues that I smoked as a test about four months ago. vaping worked so well for me you see, even from day one, that I got curious and wondered what would happen if I was to smoke! Nothing happened, and I just went back to vaping the next morning.

I still plan on ignoring any silly laws and circumventing any over-regulation: As long as I don't hurt others I'll vape where I like, and I'll engage with the black market if regulation puts up prices or restricts choice and equipment availability here in the UK. I'm not a fan of breaking the law guys, but in this case I really do feel I have a duty to be civilly disobedient: this is not simply about us being fleeced for tax, or about grubby politicians on the take, this is about corruption on a genocidal scale: they are literally putting the interests of big-business above our health and happiness, and I'm not going to have it.

Anyway, I've ordered a present for myself to celebrate the six months. V2 cigs! Yes, I'm a cig-a-like fan; they are small and don't look like light sabres. I've gone for their refillable cartomizers and small batteries, and I've ordered my first PCC too :)

It's good this vaping thing isn't it.

I too just passed my 6 month mark, and enjoying every hit of caramel/coffee/dutch apple pie/strawberry shortcake/orange creamcicle/cinnamon roll or whatever else shows up in my tanks!

Thanks to all the great people who are out there spreading the words of truth against the forces that are working so hard to protect smoking and relegate us to the dredges of smoker's hell in the process!

I live in Canada, where I fear too that they will try to regulate it and tax it like analog cigarettes. I would no hesitate a second to get my vaping supplies in on the black market should that happen.
After all, the only legitimate reasons for exhorbitant taxes on tobacco are: 1) pay for the treatment costs related to diseases related to smoking and 2) make it more expensive to smoke to discourage the habit (discouraging the habit is a worthy goal because of the health effects).
As long as vaping is innocuous or that it is only slightly dangerous, there is no legitimate reason to tax it at a higher level than any other consumer product, so I would not feel guilty for a second for avoiding those extra taxes

Fight the good fight matey-pooh. I'm in my 40's, and this is the first time I can say that I've come across something that's really worth fighting for.

Congrats on six months FourWinds!

Once taxes/overzealous control/costs get outrageous a black market always enters the picture.

No one can stop me from vaping, the problem is once you have to resort to a black market it will make things a lot harder for new vapers to start vaping. That would be a shame, but it is what it is.

Vape on :)
