It's been Farked!

Fark.com is one of my favorite websites. It's a niche news aggregator, kind of like Digg, but (IMO) funnier more cerebral.

Anyway, they posted a link to the recent NYT article on e-cigs. Huge comment response and it is very positive to e-cigs, even among those who don't smoke or haven't yet tried e-cigs. Lots of Farkers who vape advising other Farkers who smoke. Great reading if you've got time to kill. Check it out.

Well, I went to fark.com and searched for "electronic cigarettes". I searched for "A tool to quit smoking" which is part of the title of the article, and I couldn't find it. I changed the settings to news, searched by relevance, then tried searching by date, then some other sh.t I can't remember. I couldn't find it.

Yes, I finally did figure out how to find it on the fark main page. I had to scroll down to Nov 9, and it was maybe about 5-10 articles down. I've never looked at fark before, so it was kind of confusing to me, and the searches didn't seem to pull it up (at least not on the first page). The comments were interesting to read. Thanks for posting.

Saying "Go to fark.com, it's the 3rd article down" is only useful for a very short period of time. It won't be long before they'll have newer articles, and after a couple of days, it'll be back in the archives.

I've followed cigarette threads on Fark for a while, and every new one there are more vapers in it championing E-cigs, which is pretty awesome. I think this is the first Fark link I've seen to an article that's actually about E-cigs though, usually it's some article relating to cigarettes, bans, things like that.

Fark's full of sarcastic, sardonic, trollish motherfarkers, but really, the majority are pretty smart. As long as you stay out of the politics tab...
