I started vaping about a month and a half ago and found myself smoking fewer and fewer analogs until this past Friday. The few cigs I did smoke started tasting awful and I felt a hot sensation in my throat.

As of Saturday, I have not had a single cig--only the e-cigs. Today, I was even offered a cig but turned it down because I enjoy vaping, especially my blackberry e-juice from MBV (it also smells great). Granted, I still get cravings, but solve the problem by vaping more.:)

I've been doing disposable cigalikes for a week. The pack I bought almost a week ago now has 17 left. It was 18 until yesterday morning. I bought a V2 rechargeable and opened it and needed a fix. Then I realized that I had to CHARGE the thing first and broke down and smoked one. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't that great either. I totally don't miss them and I think I'm pretty lucky to not really crave them at all. It's still early though, so we will see.

Its been day 5 for me currently. When the cravings come just vape away...Seems to be working. Of course the habitual side of realizing i haven't been outside to smoke has popped up. That strange anxiety can only be combatted two ways: Just say no and thats it. Or try to retrain your mind by whenever you get these cravings you vape.

I do think my goal will be to be nicotine free hopeful within the next year. Its been a process of elimination for me. I struggled with alcoholism but have been free of that for about 1yr 4months. Free of cigarettes for 5 days so far....lol

Hi catlady60. I just had to add to the "warm fuzzies" that folks here are giving you and offer more congratulations on being tobacco and smoke free for 3 days. That is FANTASTIC and you deserve all the good feelings are being sent to you. Woo hoo !!

I'm a relatively new vaper (49 days) so I found that the cravings got fewer and less strong relatively quickly for me. Since about 30 days in, I've had almost no cravings (and am so very grateful for that). The first week was the most difficult and I tried to find ways (somewhat healthy) to give myself small rewards to celebrate being tobacco free (yes, I did eat too much ice cream).

I hope you continue your journey along the vaping trail and that you find that it floats your boat more than tobacco used to. Namaste !
