so don't hit it like one.

i write this because i just watched a few youtube videos where people reviewing e-cigs were saying "this sucks, that sucks, no vapor, yada yada" and the problem is that they simply don't know how to use the product.

"look, poor vapor production!" as they're taking quick hit after quick hit like a flipping chain smoker. no bleep there's poor vapor production, you're not even giving the atty a chance to get lukewarm.

so my advice to new users or those awaiting their first order: it's not a cigarette. it doesn't act or respond like one. it requires more finesse and delicacy than a cigarette. take slow, steady, deliberate draws. let the atomizer do the work, you shouldn't be pulling like you're drinking a milkshake through a straw.

it takes a bit to get used to because your inclination is to use it exactly how you used a cigarette but you just can't. more feather touch, less power drive.

Yep, thankfully there are mod devices that DO put out that kind of vapor that easily.
If there weren't, I wouldn't be here now. ;)

But I do see the original point- I was unable to get much satisfaction from the first few things I tried- E9 and DSE801 for that very reason, and modifying my inhalation technique to fit an ecig just wasn't going to happen.

For that reason I am of a split mind on the subject-
Someone like me- used to chain smoke and now chain vape- NEEDS to know that some of these things may not provide the experience we need.
Seriously, as an example- 3 DSE801 batteries with atties and carts in rotation were not enough to keep me going for an evening but that was NOT the impression I got from the videos I had seen- people who knew how to get the most from the 801 made them look better than they turned out to be for me.

I agree with the OP, it's good advice. When I talk to people who are considering an electronic cigarette, I always make sure to tell them that there is a learning curve. With an analog, you only have to know which end to put in your mouth, but there is a technique to getting satisfaction from a vaporizer. People who don't know this and are adverse to taking the time experiment are going to miss the true potential of the e-cig.

Ya'know, it's been almost 3 months and I still forget this simple fact occasionally. I'll get all frustrated like, "Hey, how come I'm not getting any vapor all of a sudden?!" Then, I'll switch to a stone-cold atty—thinking the one I'm using needs cleaning—and the frustration is compounded. I think I need to put up a post-it note to myself: "Relax! Don't suck! Inhale!"
