i have a small Facebook thing going on mostly family and a few friends only one vapor among them a one smoker that i'm sure of,,,,,, tried to help her but it didnt go far

I went thru that phenomenon with sobriety; people would find out I'd been sober a long time and just kinda glom onto me like they thought they could "catch" sobriety from me like a cold, without having to do anything themselves. It never lasted very long, and I totally gave up on trying to help others who "said" they wanted to get sober -- if they really wanted it, they could find some meetings the same way I did -- "it works if you work it," we always say, and the flip side of that is that it doesn't if you don't.

I don't even know anyone who smokes anymore; I think I was one of the last few holdouts. But it's funny, I can't seem to leave the house now without smelling cigarette smoke from *somewhere*.
