I had a Walther PPKS for the nightstand for years. Got some BIG paws. Even a full wrap Pachmeyer grip couldn't stop that slide from ripping my thumb to shreds practicing though. Gave it to the Mrs. when I found the USP. Kind of a squeeze in the night stand, but it just FALLS into my hand. The other thing I HATED about the Five, was that safety! Whose idea was THAT? It's a rattly piece too. Tolerances didn't seem to be Grand worthy.

H&K has a low kick round like the 5.7x28? I have to look INTO that! I DID like the long grip on the FN that the 28mm round required. Thanks Mike!
Walther PPK is James Bond's gun they gave it to him because his other gun kept jamming :D

Actually, that gun needs new magazines or something. It never jammed before, but lately, it can hardly make it halfway through a mag before I'm digging a tumbler outta the slide.

check under the extractor, brass pieces/grime gum it up.clean it with some CLP or hoppes #9 and a brush, blow it out with compressed air, hoppes #9,which BTW is my favorite cologne...;)

p.s..it's almost always over looked and the mags are blamed.

I've broke it down to the nubs, Showered it in G96, blown out with high pressure air.. I will check under the extractor, but 25 year old springs, always under full compression, not a good formula. I'm hoping you're right though! Will check!

I've had and still have 30 year plus loaded mags, fired without a hitch.bad springs mean poor/weak loading problems, stove pipes/side pipes mean extractor not getting full/weak grab, unless you have a weak slide recoil spring.Look to wolf springs for upgrades but your description leads me to believe extractor clog

Well, they have not made it for Civilians yet... :/ I know they made a prototype pistol, but idk if they will produce it..

Edit* just looked it up, they scraped the Pistol design :(

Sweet. Nah, the slide spring seems tight. So does the plate in the mags. So I'm thinkin you're definitely on to something. Going to be a good weekend chore, cause ya KNOW ya can't just clean em and put em away.. :)
