So disappointed because my subox is amazing but its been leaking bad so i was hoping someone could maybe know how to make it taste normal and yummy lol

Which coils are you using and what mode are you running them on? Always remember, never run Ni or Ti coils in Power/Wattage mode. That's very dangerous for your health.

I am not an expert at vaping either.. But I'll share what I know. We are all here to help each other.

When you are vaping in TC mode, the device uses an algorithm to predict and control the coil temperature based on the coil material you set it to. It is not actually measuring coil temperature. Each material has different properties and heats up differently. So if you run it in the wrong mode you could overheat the coil and Ni or Ti wire could produce harmful by products that you shouldn't be inhaling. You should always use the appropriate mode for the coil type that you are using.

If you've used a Ti or Ni coil in Wattage mode by mistake, I would suggest you don't use those coils anymore. Use a fresh new coil. I don't care for Ni and don't use it. I use Ti sometimes. But my preference is either Kanthal or Stainless Steel. You should use Kanthal coils only in Power/Wattage mode. SS can be used in both Wattage & Temp Control modes.

I use the Ego One Mega tank with the regular CLR 0.5 ohm coils. They are Kanthal and the CLR coil heads are rebuildable. Joyetech doesn't make Stainless Steel (SS) coils for this tank, but you can always buy some SS wire and use that to rebuild the coil in the CLR coil heads.

Choice of coil is a personal preference. Choose what you like and what suits your preference. But when trying something new, always do a little research. There are a lot of videos on YouTube to help.

Be safe and keep on vaping!! [emoji2]

For me, Ti gives me a more clinical flavor and Ni gives me a fuller flavor, I prefer Ni out of the two, I have pretty limited experience with both though.

I've only tried kanthal and Ni. I have the one Ti coil that came with. I'm probably going to invest in some SS - that seems to be the most versatile - I can use on this, and I can use "like" kanthal on my VV/VW mods.....

Could anyone recommend a good rebuildable tank to use with the eVic VTC Mini? I want to get into it. [emoji16] or can you get a rebuildable coil for the mega?

You can get rebuildable coil heads for the the Ego One Mega. They're much better than the stock coils and the juice channels are adjustable so you can open up the flow for thicker juices. Easy to rebuild and they're cheap too. About 10.00 for a pack of five coils that can be rewicked and rebuilt. Check them out:

CLR Head (Rebuildable) - Joyetech

ETA: The CLR coils come in 1 ohm and .5 ohm. I'd get the .5 ohm since it has a larger airflow hole. (unless you just like tighter airflow) You can build it to whatever ohm you like with any type of wire. Also, the CLR comes in a TI version now. I haven't tried them yet and don't know how they differ..

Glad to report I've had my Evic for four days now and love it. Got it all upgraded to the latest firmware and it's running awesome. I like the tank that came with it, not a lung hoover tank but not a tootle tank either, just happily in the middle where I like it.

The coils on the other hand, I'm not liking the Ni head that was pre-installed. Not sure if I got a bad one or if it's just me, but I get like no flavor out of it even with super strong juices and it seems like it's gunking up faster than it should. Four days, only the third tank fill, and it's BLACK and icky looking even though my juice is super light colored and doesn't gunk kanthal that fast.

I'll try the Ti head after this, but I might be giving up on it if that doesn't work. Not gonna buy coils to not get any flavor.

See my post above. You really should try the CLR coils before you give up on the tank. They're way better than the stock coils and make the Ego One Mega a worthwhile tank to use. If you still just want to give up on the tank, send it to me, lol. I like them just fine. :)

Well I don't know if it's going to be a problem or not but I'm getting some tank wobble on top of the Mini. I thought maybe the threads might be fitting too loosely but that's not it. I'm using a ST Mini. I can see just a slight bit of light between the mod and the tank. I took the tank off and pushed on the mod threads in different directions with the tip of a ball point pen. The 510 is moving. The threaded stainless looks pretty thin..........not very meaty looking. Not trying to alarm anyone, I'm just reporting.
Add a 510 heat sink. Makes tank sit higher but protects the threads. I add one to all my new mods.

Lol. I'm too stubborn to just give up the ghost, I'm just frustrated. Nobody around me sells the CLR heads (why sell people rebuildable coils you can only make money on once? :nah:) so I'd have to order them. That takes money, time and patience. (Bloody USPS hostage takers! :-x)

I think it might be because of the fact that it's nickel. I have a sensitivity to nickel jewelry, it might be affecting my vaping. Or I might have got a dud. Not really sure yet. If it's the allergy, I figure I got one more tank worth before it starts bothering me to the point it's noticeable.

I filled up again and am FINALLY getting a bit of flavor but it's nowhere near what it should be. I'll have to take a pic of the coil, but after only three tanks, it's seriously gross. That bothers me. What would it look like by the time it finally dies?

I really want to try stainless coils too but again, nobody around here sells them.

The one plus side to shops is being able to buy a single coil to see if you like em before laying out twenty bucks. The down side of shops is being stuck with what they carry...

Oh, and I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'm having to turn all the way up to 510*F to get a decent vape. Is that normal for nickel? I thought most people ran around 450*. Thought it might be related to the gunky issue and no flavor thing too.

Current settings are Ni mode, 510*F, 70W, 0.20ohms.

i found that i have to set the temp a lot higher on the evic than i do on other temp control devices for it not to temp out
ad i'm talking 120+ degrees.
on her devise I vape around 330 - 350
I know thats much lower than most vape, but it's where i like it
but even at the higher temps it seems very much like the others at lower temps
sometime in the middle of the week i'l have tim etc try some new builds on it and experiment
I haven't used the tank that came with it. I build my own kayfun nano's for it
