Well I don't know if it's going to be a problem or not but I'm getting some tank wobble on top of the Mini. I thought maybe the threads might be fitting too loosely but that's not it. I'm using a ST Mini. I can see just a slight bit of light between the mod and the tank. I took the tank off and pushed on the mod threads in different directions with the tip of a ball point pen. The 510 is moving. The threaded stainless looks pretty thin..........not very meaty looking. Not trying to alarm anyone, I'm just reporting.

Not alarmed at all.........was free :D

Sounds like the backing nut may be loose, if that is the design. Minor surgery may be a fix. :w00t:
Mine seemed to stop short, but I gave it a little more oomph and the tank seated to the mod.

i found that i have to set the temp a lot higher on the evic than i do on other temp control devices for it not to temp out
ad i'm talking 120+ degrees.
on her devise I vape around 330 - 350
I know thats much lower than most vape, but it's where i like it
but even at the higher temps it seems very much like the others at lower temps
sometime in the middle of the week i'l have tim etc try some new builds on it and experiment
I haven't used the tank that came with it. I build my own kayfun nano's for it

Did you do the Update yet?

Lol. I'm too stubborn to just give up the ghost, I'm just frustrated. Nobody around me sells the CLR heads (why sell people rebuildable coils you can only make money on once? :nah:) so I'd have to order them. That takes money, time and patience. (Bloody USPS hostage takers! :-x)

I think it might be because of the fact that it's nickel. I have a sensitivity to nickel jewelry, it might be affecting my vaping. Or I might have got a dud. Not really sure yet. If it's the allergy, I figure I got one more tank worth before it starts bothering me to the point it's noticeable.

I filled up again and am FINALLY getting a bit of flavor but it's nowhere near what it should be. I'll have to take a pic of the coil, but after only three tanks, it's seriously gross. That bothers me. What would it look like by the time it finally dies?

I really want to try stainless coils too but again, nobody around here sells them.

The one plus side to shops is being able to buy a single coil to see if you like em before laying out twenty bucks. The down side of shops is being stuck with what they carry...
The plus side to the CLR coil heads is that you can rebuild them using any wire you want and to any resistance you want. Joyetech does not make any SS coils but you can always use SS wire to rebuild the CLRs. If you do opt for the CLR coils, I would suggest you go for the 0.5 ohm ones. They've got better airflow.

:( Wish I'd have seen this before I ordered from WOV. Only got 5 of the 1 ohm. I can always order the 0.5s. Maybe even the Ti ones because I saw somewhere that those bases are a little more open as well? They'll be here tomorrow, so I can check them out and decide what to do next.

Do you have the Ti and Ni coils that came with the kit? If yes, don't throw them away yet. You can carefully pop out the base from the 1 ohm CLR coil and replace it with the one from the Ti/Ni coil. Instant increased airflow. [emoji2]

@GarfieldDC - Yes! I kinda planned on that (maybe that's why I went with the 1ohms?) Could that be the difference in the 1ohm and the 0.5 ohm heads?
Apart from the resistance of the coil, the only other difference between the 0.5 & 1.0 ohm CLR coil heads is the airflow at the base. The 1 ohm heads have a tiny airflow hole that I find to be very restrictive and unsatisfying. Kinda like sucking air through a tiny straw.

I also initially made the mistake of ordering the 1 ohm coils. The swap that I mentioned above was my solution to fix the issue I was having. Now with the same coil heads I get better airflow and vapor production.

+1 on Marina2's comments regarding the CLR heads. Flavor is much better than the stock coils and wow do they last! I've been using the same coil since September, just swapping out new cotton as needed. Have yet to replace the actual coil but so glad I can do that when it's time. 1 ohm for MTL, .5 for lung hits. I'm usually MTL so I'm very happy with the 1 ohm. :)

Turns out all my other tanks screw completely down on the Mini and don't wobble so I'll just use the ST on a different mod.

Re-read and see you said Subtank, not mini?
Is it the Full sized tank with the Extended Pin? Very few Mods will Flush the Standard Subtank

Glad the rest are working out for you.

It's the ST Mini. In my first post I said Mini. I guess I should proof read.

Now curious why it isn't going flush. I wonder if the Power wire is Knotting under the center pin(reducing clearance) The Subtank Mini's seem to be well manufactured and consistent in parts quality.

Have you flipped it, beside another tank to compare 510 connection lengths?
    Threading dependencies maybe?

If your wondering why, I purchased several Mini Bases and am building my own tanks for my wife and I. Specifically for the VTC-mini.
