yes i did, but i didnt lik the screen lay out. don't use the added wattage so i took it back

Hope they come out with another update people can live with. a lot of people do not like the screen change.

Someone posted the update corrected the temp issues. :( good and bad updates bite.
They also went back due to screen and use Ti for now.

one of the main reasons was no battery indicator

Now curious why it isn't going flush. I wonder if the Power wire is Knotting under the center pin(reducing clearance) The Subtank Mini's seem to be well manufactured and consistent in parts quality.

Have you flipped it, beside another tank to compare 510 connection lengths?
Threading dependencies maybe?

If your wondering why, I purchased several Mini Bases and am building my own tanks for my wife and I. Specifically for the VTC-mini.
The 510 is longer on my ST Mini and it is authentic.

The plus side to the CLR coil heads is that you can rebuild them using any wire you want and to any resistance you want. Joyetech does not make any SS coils but you can always use SS wire to rebuild the CLRs. If you do opt for the CLR coils, I would suggest you go for the 0.5 ohm ones. They've got better airflow.
Yeah, I figured out that they didn't make a SS one after I posted that. Which is silly. Why put the mode on, but not offer a compatible coil for your tank that came with it? You're just encouraging people to move to a different tank like the Crown or Aspire that DO have SS coils available.

It was the center pin that made it slightly longer. I filed it down and the wobble is gone.

Awesome!!! will keep that in mind, if needed.:)

* No Display function choices in menu? Have not opened mine yet since I cannot build my coils ATM.
2 New RDA's and 2 new Mods just staring at me.......:(

Woo doggie! I just unboxed it! What a svelte mod! Smaller than my Istick TC60! Tomorrow I will juice up the tank and give it a whirl.

I just did my first rebuild of the CLR coil heads - 26 gauge Kanthal, 10 wrap non spaced coil. I have no idea what the resistance is though. The ohm meter I ordered is still being shipped and I haven't received the eVic VTC Mini yet.

The build is spot on. Just the way i like it. I'm vaping it on my Ego One VT set at medium power. Good flavor and great vapor production.

I remember seeing a video recently which said that firmware version 1.3 was the same as version 2.0 but with the old screen layout.
Has anyone tried FW ver 1.3?

This post is going to echo some other comments here and there. I received my mini on Friday and to my pleasant surprise it included the matching eGo One Mega tank and two coils. One of the coil gaskets was red and the other black so I had to do a little research to find out what each coil was made of. Then I had to run out and pick up some 18650s and charge them up.

Juiced up the E1M tank with a Ti head, made sure all of my settings were correct and commenced to vaping. It worked and worked well. I vaped the afternoon with that setup before switching over to a Subtank Mini with a Kanthal RTA build. Screwed on the Subtank and... Oh, oh... She's a wobbler. Screwed on two more Subtank Minis. Both wobblers. This was not looking good. Screwed on a Castle RDA. Didn't wobble but didn't sit flush either.

Since the mod was free I figured a little exploratory surgery was in order. At first, I didn't like what I was seeing. It was shades of 2013 quality 510 connectors. The 510 is, pretty much, free floating. It slides into a shoe (metal) on the case side and is held in place horizontally via a key slot (plastic key) on the board side. From what I can see the 510 is designed to be secured by screwing on your atty. The threads on the atty pull the 510 up to seal against the case. It's actually not a terrible Idea and not nearly as bad as I originally thought. My biggest concerns are the key wearing out and leakage past the 510. Depending on the production run; the case shoe might have tight a enough tolerance to hold the 510 should the key wear out. Using an atty that allows the 510 to seal against the case should handle the leaking bit. The Subtank mini does not appear to be one of those attys.

I took some quick measurements and it looks like from the base to the bottom thread on the Ego One 4mm with its pin extending to 4.5mm. From the base to the bottom thread on the STM is 4.5mm with its pin extending to 5mm. Case closed. No more STMs with the VTC Mini. I wanted to try out some new tank tech anyway. I've grown to complacent with my STMs.

I updated my firmware yesterday and am happily vaping away. All in a all a good product and a great contest. Thanks again for the swag!

Got a question, I primed my coil for the ego one mega tank, filled it up let it set out all night, got up this morning and took a hit and BAM burnt. What did i go wrong?

Make sure you aren't running a kanthal head in TC mode. If you are using a TC head, make sure you are running in TC mode and in the correct TC mode (Ti, Ni or SS). Make sure you are not running a TC head in power or bypass mode. If your are running kanthal in power mode; reduce your power output. If you are running kanthal in bypass mode; increase your resistance. If you're running a TC head in the correct TC mode; reduce your power, temp or both. TC is a different ball game .

I think that about covers it.

I was surprised and how small is is. It's a little bit bigger than an iStick 30 but it feels much sturdier.

I am useing the Ti. 0.40 coil. So i should be in Temp Ti mode?
If so, what should the temp be set at?
