I've become a vape head in a week! Got my Nautilus Mini..and some others

After the drama with my aspire BDC I decided to go out to the Vape store and have the lady check it just to make sure the coils were good. She tasted it and said it was fine and that my issue may be that I LOVE to vape Banana flavor and now I've switched to a Berry. Ok, I can live with that. After using it all day I am actually starting to taste the berry.

Instead of leaving it at that I decided to buy the Aspire nautilus Mini (which was my intention initially), and... I got an iTaste VV 3.0. Somebody tell me what in the WORLD is the variable wattage for? I know what the variable voltage is for. I am using the Mini with my iTaste. Does anyone know what good settings for this setup would be?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Start low and increase the power to your liking. If you start getting burnt hits, back the power down a notch. Most heads are happy around 7-9w.
Bvc can go much higher.
With variable voltage you have to do some math to figure out the wattage based on the resistance (ohms) of the coil (head) being used. (Or adjust the power like above - it's just more fiddling) There are vaping wattage charts all over, just google image search for it.

Hth!

here is a good chart for starters General Safe Vaping Power | Voltage | Resistance | Ohm Chart .
variable wattage allows you to change toppers (atomizers) without changing any settings in case you have found your sweet spot. V/V and you will probably have to adjust to different OHM atomizers to get the best vape.

You can change wattage with each different flavor, up or down to your preference until the desired flavor of your juice comes out. Variable wattage brings out the flavors of your juices. Also it increases the warmth and vapor of your vape. I would never go back once you use your variable wattage and realize how it can enhance your vaping expirence you won't go back either!! It really brings out the flavor of your juices. It offers more of a customized expirence.

VV/VW = Same thing... VV Requires Math (V Squared / Ohms) or (V*V)/Ohms..... VW Just does the math for you... You set the wattage, and the mod uses the built in ohmmeter to figure out how much voltage to apply to get there. So as a fellow newb, VW is just way simpler when swapping coils/heads/etc unless all your stuff is the same resistance (ohms)....

Vw is easier, but like realsis said... You may want to go up or down a few notches around 8w in order to get the flavor/warmth/throat hit you are looking for from a given juice. Each juice has different characteristics based on the level of heat the coil puts off... Or in other words, the amount of power applied to the coil.

MikeL76 hit it on the head. I have devices that do both also. I use the VW..variable wattage mode. It automatically adjust the voltage to get to that power level given whatever ohm coil you put in. On the mini with the new BVC coils I have found between 9.5 and 11 watts to be good and yes you can go higher, but why. I like to conserve as much battery yet still have a pleasant amount of vapor production. In short...VW really easy to use...set it and forget it almost.

I remember the days when I used a tank and a vv/vw device..... the memories of flooded coils and tanks leaking.... the expenses of replacing coil heads....

Dripping and building is the only way for me now. the coils last forever, cotton is cheap.... $10 in meterials and I have enough coil and whick to last 2 years if i dont keep rebuilding....

glad you are vaping though.
