I got my kit from V2 on Valentines day, and have not had a single cigarette since. I'm proud of myself, and surprised about the whole community of vapers online. The hobby part of this also was surprising, I love surfing the web looking at juice sites and am starting to make my own DIY creations with great success. This is my first post on this forum, but I belong to two others. I think its time to stop lurking and start getting involved, I look forward to getting to know some of you!:toast:

Greetings from Canada! Yeah, I know, next door! Welcome to ECF!

We live closer to each other than most people in either of our own countries. I used to live a lot closer to the border. Where do you live in Maine?

I'm in Bangor now, but I grew up in Bar Harbor, with Acadia National Park as my own personal playground. I love this region of the world, and you're right, we may be in different countries, but we are close!

Thank you everyone! So far I like it here!

Would it be rude to ask if you have the"Baa Haabaa" accent?! You were only a "Cat" ride away from Nova Scotia. Heavy on the were. It's probably gone forever now. That was a nice shortcut for a lot of people.

On the e-cig side of things, are there any e-cig stores near you. I have searched on line to see if there is anything near Calais but I haven't found any yet. Any shops in Canada are nic-less so Calais would be "convenient". I bought some pre-filled cartos in Presque Isle the last time I was there but they were the Metro ones, quite expensive and really a "hit or miss" system. I'm set up with DIY for a little while yet, so things are good.

It's a great, helpful fellowship here on ECF!

Relax and Enjoy!

Edit: The photo is Campobello Island where both countries have the Roosevelt International Park.

Impressive at two months in! Took me 'bout 6 months before I tried DIY... 'bout the same time I broke even with my vaping expenses...

I wish I had been able to take a ride on the CAT, but, alas, it's gone... No, no accent for me, I went back and forth from CA to ME a lot. I love listening to the "downeasters", and the older they are the better the accent! I've been to Campobello Island, it was nice, cold and rainy that day, but beautiful anyway. There are no vaping stores anywhere around here, no one even knows what it is I'm "smoking", and I find myself educating folks on a daily basis. I do have a local bakery that sells Loranne concentrated flavors though, I use it to make my own juice, it works wonderfully! She even sells it 30 cents a dram less than Lorannes own site! I love that I can buy local and still get a bargain and not have to pay shipping. I love making my own juice, and I'm getting really good at it too. As soon as I can get a case of empty bottles I'll be sending samples to my online vaping friends to get feedback and I hope that if they like it well enough I can make it for them at cost and save them some money while getting a great juice.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your success.

We lived in Brunswick, ME for four years, and I miss it so much! My husband is a flight engineer in the Navy, and we were stationed there from 2002-06 (Yes, I see you, X P3 Flight Engineer . . . Hi :D ).

I think I am, like you said, addicted to the hobby side of vaping just as much as vaping itself. I scour the net and this forum for hours, searching for that next best thing, and absolutely LOVE DIY.

There are a ton of wonderful people here, so you've come to the right place.
