Hello all. I used to be active here 3 1/2 years ago but have since fallen off the wagon. I'm looking to get back into vaping and have been researching on here endlessly for a week. Good lord, this place has exploded!

So I dug out my old 510 the other night and lo and behold the thing still works! I have 6 batteries (at least 3 work), 7 or 8 atomizers (haven't tested them all), a ton of empty carts, and a bunch of various DIY supplies. And I still have a few bottles of juice that miraculously still taste ok. I can't imagine that the equipment I have will last long or that it's entirely up to snuff so I'm looking at picking up a new setup. Here's what I think I want:

- eGo-C, whatever model I can find reasonably priced
- tank mod, either a Smoketech DCT or a Vivi Nova are the two I'm looking at. I don't want to mess with refillable cartridges again. They constantly need filled and leak everywhere and those are the main two reasons I got away from this in the first place. I want to fill up the thing and go for hours.
- batteries I'm confused on. I've seen plenty of posts praising the VV's but I do not understand how volts and ohms play into the vaping experience. Also, how long can I expect a 650mah battery to last? 1100mah? I was looking at an eGo Twist or a Vision Spinner unless there's a better option out there.

Ok, that's all I can think of. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Welcome back el lobo furtivo! Cartomizers leak? Hmmm. That never happened to me. I know those atomizer/cartridge things bite big time. But anyway...I like the Smok DCT (or cartotanks...I don't usually like to use dual coils) or the Boge F16. Both are very good, and yes, you can fill and simply vape and vape and vape. Little or no fuss. Especially if you get a tank filler tool and a Slap Yo Mama tool to help out.

I'll let someone else fill you in on the ohms law and VV and VW and all that stuff. I am happy using 3.7 mods and I prefer a single coil 2ohm resistance. I don't use a lot of different flavors so I don't need a wide range of volts or watts. Good luck! I love vaping...it's wonderful! Been smoke free 14+ months now!

El Lobo, I see you're from Akron, Ohio.

There is a really cool b&m vape store in Centerville, Ohio, in the Cross Pointe shopping center, right next to the Subway. It's called Vaporcast. The owners and employees are super cool, they're all vapers, and they only carry reliable products. Their juice is really good, but they emphasize their menthol lines. Biscotti is my favorite juice from there.

You can get batteries, chargers, cartos, tanks, attys, egos, twists, the BAM and the Kick, clearos, drip tips, and every other normal thing you'd find on a normal vape website.

The Vaporcast Store
175 East Alex Bell Road. #260
Centerville, OH 45459
513.291.3539

If you stop in, ask plenty of questions, and they'll catch you up to speed. You may even leave with a gift bag full of little free sample bottles (but I can't guarantee that). Again, they're really cool guys.

Hope you can stop by and check it out.

He's talking about the actual cartridges that used to come with atomizers. Yeah nobody has used those in years, I never could get them to work right, even back when people actually used them with blue foam and tea bags, haha. Yeah I think a mini Vivi Nova and an Vision Spinner would be a great setup for you! You can also buy a little "thread skirt" for the ego batts to give it a more clean, streamlined look.

The Twist or Spinner with either the Vivi Nova or a carto tank will be worlds beyond the cartridge/atomizer. Besides not needing to refill constantly; the TH, vapor, and flavor will be tons better. I'd recommend one Nova and one carto tank to see which you like and you'll have a backup. As the saying goes... Backups for your backups. At least 2 batteries and 2 chargers too. You can figure 100mah to equal 1hr of vaping though this is just a rough estimate.

Thank you all!

Rocketpunk, Centerville is about a 3 hour drive from me but if I'm ever down that way I'll be sure to check it out.

One more question, I still have several chargers for my old 510 batteries and I think I've read that the eGo was based on the 510 models so will my old chargers work on the new batteries?
