I only bought 1 Reo Grand.

batteries & Charger have not shipped yet.

I was fortunate enough to buy a new unit from another forum member in the Classifieds. It's Black/Silver, new, never used. I'm excited! I am sure I will have to buy the wife one in her color choice before long. Unless she gets set on a mini, it will also be a Grand.

I have 4 ea. AW IMR 18650's & Pila charger on the way. I have plenty of Boge 2.0 & some 1.7 carto's on hand. I have some 510 SR atties that came with a eGo clone but do not like the draw. I prefer atty's over carto's but that may change. I also would rather not have a 306 and have to have a 306 DT as I have plenty of 510's. But I'm sure I may well go the 306 way eventually. I have also never had an atty or carto's ohm out to what they were sold as. 2.0's are 2.4-2.8, 1.7's are 2.2, and atty's are all about 2.8. Is that going to be a Reo starter problem?

Happy to be part of this group.

With most inexpensive digital meters, you need touch the leads together to find out what the internal resistance is of your meter and the lead wires. You subtract that number from the displayed resistance when measuring the ohms on an atty or carto.

Welcome aboard, REOnaut! Hey, you don't have to snub 306's just because of the tips - get yourself a universal tip for like 6 bucks and put your 510 tips on that. It makes the whole arrangement a little taller (see below) but if you dig on the 306 hit, it's totally worth it.

that's a 306 under all that other stuff.

That's just a little cap I made out of glow-in-the-dark Sculpey clay. It's teardrop shaped (the point is towards the window in that pic) so it's easy to see at a glance if it's on or off, and easy to turn into place with the side of my thumb. It's held on with a single drop of gorilla glue.

It's REET_AZ's idea, she gave us a few when we first got our Grands, and it inspired me to make one specific to my needs.

Welcome to the club RocketRod!!! I too am fairly new to the REO world, but I am so happy! I too use 306's on my woodvil at times, and due to the fact that I wanted to enter the world of TrippyTips I too ended up using the Universal from Cherry Vapes on my 306's. However many people here recommended the HH 357 atty and it has proved to be my favorite. But due to their cost and high demand. I now use the 306's when I don't have a 357 around. :)

Welcome new REOnaut!! Good to hear that you got plenty of supplies for your REO already. The SR atties you got will come in handy when you want to vape at 6V. Not sure if your going to find them to be a good vape at 3.7V though. Everyone is different and if you like a cool vape with barely any TH. Then those will serve you well.

I would suggest that you get some 1.8 atties to start out. Since they are more versatile and forgiving when it comes to a person learning how to use atties. Once you get a hand of it and want a warmer vape. Then you can get some 1.5 ohm atties. 510's give a fairly good TH and warmth to the vapor. LR 306's on the other hand imitate HV vaping the best and overall, give you a better TH. As for brands, Cisco/Avid are the best out of the bunch and don't have any primer in them. Which is a bonus.

Thanks for the info wasvape! I've read quite a bit. I find myself writing down what page I'm on in what thread to keep track of my learning. But the greatest thing is the entire ECF! I would have never thought there would be this many folks in one place, willing to help tirelessly, the unknowing. Everyone feels like family, and that feels d**n good! My hat is tipped to all of you!

No problem and I hope that you like your REO as much as the rest of us. ECF is a great forum and even though it's not as busy as it used to be. It's still a great place for people to share their experiences and knowledge of E-cigs. A whole lot better then the two other forums I was involved with for sure. Glad to hear that your enjoying the forum and hope that you continue to stay active. There are a lot of fun threads here as well as technical ones.
