J-510 or M401 EVO

Hi Everyone,

I am just looking for the answer this question:

Has anyone tried both and can give me an opinion?

Does the 510 have a better draw? Does the EVO (intellicig) have better battery life? Are the cartridges leaky on either model?

I will be using my new e-cig at home and out and about..

Has anyone used a USB passthrough on either model?

The 510 has better draw. It also has larger cartridges but the atty only manages to vape around half of it so i don't see the point. The atty also dies much faster. Battery life on the 510 is known to be low and you don't get much flavor.

I prefer the M401 much more for these reasons. I use the USB Pasthrough a lot at home and it kicks *ss. Hope this helps.

I've owned both models, & if you search my other posts you'll see I recomend the EVO every time. (check other posts of mine to see why) It's far superior.

Very much my personal opinion (cos i don't wanna get flamed) is that all M401s are the same.

I've used other brands & generic M401s & I have to say EVOs are of a superior quality.

Both. I trashed a few when I was a noob, all down to user error.

Since I learned how to use them properly I've had none go wrong. Alright, my originals have tailed off a bit, but I've had them since the end of March.

They are a hell of a lot more robust than the generic ones I bought in bulk from China from a build quality perspective.

Perhaps the OEM printing and packaging makes it look superior but i'm pretty certain they are the same. Don't wanna get into an argument bout this as i'm way past that. Sludge, you sure the ones you got from China are genuine Smoore stuff? I'm in no way questioning you but i've read about knock offs Mseries that are selling for pennies literally but they are as crappy as the health ecigs.

I'm not looking for an argument either, just stating my experience.

I've had 401s die, & fall apart for no real reason. None of them were my EVOS (they were Pilots, the Chinese ones & an EM4 (actually I broke that & certainly wouldn't put them down over it (they're my second recommendation))). The only EVOs I've had die on me, have been because I killed them through user error.

They also seem to have tougher paint.

I own both and they both have thier pluses and minuses.

The 401 (EVO) gives good vapor, has an exposed atty (good for dipping) but a small cart which makes it a little more difficult to refill. Cart will need to be refilled before battery needs to be charged. Battery life is good and thoat hit (depnding upon juice) is good.

The 510 - Gives slightly more vapor than my 401(EVO), it has a recessed atty (good for dripping) and a large cart. I can vape the same cart almost all day. Battery life is shorter than 401 and throat hit is excellent (of course depends on the juice)

* - I vaped the same ejuice through both, I have never dipped, only dripped, I drip on both attys and the 401 leaks when i do. I do own the EVO. The 510 is my main vape, the evo is my backup (with the manual batteiry, the vapor production on the 401 is almost the same as the 510)

How do you feel about Heaven Gift's attys? They are unmarked - I think - and cheapish.

Yes I found there was still juice in the cart, you are correct. this actually happened with both my 510 and my 401. But with the 510 there is a solution.....Liption Pyramid Tea Bag Mod. Sucks it dry.

There are several mods suitable for 501 carts.

Sorry to divert here, but I literally just did the 510 "pen spring" mod in the cart about a half hour ago.

Seems to be delivering WAY more juice to the atty and nice vapor amounts..

Doesn't leave much filler in the cart but it's definitely sucking it dry now.
