Janty eGo: from a semi-noob to the real noobs

I got my eGo today at the advice of a few forum members: at $84~ shipped from Parked over at Diet Smokes, I wish I'd started with something like this. My 901 is convenient, and was only around $40 from RD, but it's more proof- you do get what you pay for. I can clearly see apart from the rare replacement parts, I'm probably not going to need to buy anything for my e-cig hobby. This is what vaping should be like. I highly recommend this PV to anyone asking the what PV they should start with. Great TH, great vapor- I'm sold on Janty's eGo.

I think the eGo is a great starter. It's not the same level of commitment as getting a big battery mod, but it still gives a similar battery life; it has better battery life than some of the smaller mods, in fact. I've had a lot of issues with carts and figuring out how to drip in a consistent manner since I started, so I'm glad I wasn't having to deal with battery issues at the same time.

Does the 510 mega atty and cart show an appreciable difference? I am interested...

I have to agree about Dietsmokes... very nice people to deal with.... my initial order had a defective part and it was replaced as soon as I asked... good customer service...

Well, I would really have to compare them at home. Besides the fact the the 510 mega cart holds more liquid and lasts longer.

I miss my eGo :(

Completely agree on the recommendation of it as a great starter device :thumb:

What happened to your eGo Thye? Were you one of the "2 weeks then sent it on it's way to someone else" dudes? Or did you drop it down the loo? Or... was it ninjas? Aliens!? I feel your pain

I'm so glad that vendors can stock and sell these now. It will make getting extra batteries, etc. easy.

I too started with a 510 and quickly "bumped up" to a Tornado. I basically love everything about it, especially the 10 hour battery life. I'm a heavy vaper and I'm still amazed at the battery life I'm getting.

I think the cone really makes the draw nice and seems to warm the "vape" and it makes everything taste fuller somehow.

Oddly, I'll still pull out a couple of 510 batteries on occasion and vape on them... just because they seem so lonely packed away in my vaping box :)

I bought a 5 pack mega atty/batts and it isn't as great a difference as I thought it might be. I won't be buying anymore unless I get a mod idea ;-)

I had a similar cycle with Parked - he sent first, with postage and a box to send back. That's the way it should happen. Flawless.

lol I was one of the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/jantyusa/72347-wandering-review-janty-ego.html people :) but then had to send it on to the next :( lol

It was a great thing though because now I know how well it works and can recommend it to others. ;)

I just did a comparison using my Ego using a regular 510 and the mega 510 and to me the mega 510 seemed to have a looser draw and blow a bit more vapor.

I haven't noticed that at all - but don't know if the ohm reading is the same - where's Scottbee?? ;-) The comparison should be in the time it gives and I simply haven't timed it, but off hand it hasn't grabbed my attention for that.

I vaped from about noon yesterday until noon today on one battery with this thing, never once got the first signs of the vapor slowing down. This is probably going to be my DV(daily vaper :D) until it breaks, then I'll have to just get another. Uses 510 parts which are readily available everywhere, and runs like a champ for ~24 hours? I'm sold. Heh, if Janty would compensate, I'd put a sticker in my back window :D
