Hey!

Would have posted this under JantyWorld, but I've still got the posting limit. :/
Bought myself a Janty eGo just a couple of days ago & I'm wondering about the recharging of it.

I read from somewhere here that most ecigs have lithium batteries, which one should recharge even if it's not dead yet. So what's the deal with Janty eGo batteries? Should I recharge them only when they die out? Or I should constantly recharge them, even if I could puff more?

Thanks in forward!

Thanks for the reply! I'll keep that in mind. By the way, when I bought my eGO, I got 2 batteries with it. I'm using only 1 though. Should I start charging the other battery as well or is it ok if it just sits there..unused & uncharged.

Thanks!

Hmm. Somehow I don't think that is the best idea. Think about it this way. You will get in the neighborhood of 300 charges out of a batt. Now, this is true whether you use one batt or two. BUT, if you alternate batts, you effectively double the length of time that you have TWO batts instead of one. If you use one batt untill it is dead, then you are stuck w/ only one batt after the first one dies. IMHO, it's better to alternate them. You can lose a batt at any time through malfuntion, accident, actually losing it somewhere or freak occurance, but if you alternate batts, that means that after the 300 charge time, you will still have 150 charges left. If you use one up batt(untill it no longer works) and are left with only, then you are SOL untill you get a replacement.

If you chose to only use one of them, then it would probably be a good idea to put the spare on charge 1 a month or so.

If you are going to let it sit I would give it a full charge. L/ion batteries lose there charge very slowly over time. It's good to charge them fully every 6 months or so if they are sitting. I believe if they completely lose their charge then they are ruined. They normally come charged to about 80% or so, so your safe for awhile.

Probably best to alternate as stated above. :) I alternate 2 batteries myself but that is mainly because they only last 2-3 hours (regular 510) I have 4 batteries though and the other set is sitting but fully charged. I did have 6 but the first 2 were wore out. I'm gonna get me some 900mah XL-eGo batteries pretty soon.

Roughly around 300 charges give or take. So if you charge them every day somewhere around 10 months.

This would make sense, my regular 510 batteries are probably charged about 4-5 times a day and I was noticing a definite drop in performance after just over 2 months with my first 2 batteries luckily I have 4 more. Having a pass-through at home and using your batteries mainly for when your away will save a lot of wear on your batteries and would make them last much longer also.
