Janty eGo tip for better vapor

I love my eGo, but with the 510 atty, the draw is light, lots of air,
and too little vapor.
This has probably already been mentioned (nothing is new!!) but if
you cover 3 of the 4 vent holes on the 510 atty, you will get alot
more vapor.
Make sure you wipe around the atty so there is no film of juice on it
or the tape will not stick.
I cut a small strip of masking tape, and put it around the atty, covering
3 of the holes. I guess any kind of tape would work.
If you have a eGo, and would like to increase the amount of vapor your
getting with each draw, try this simple mod

I love my eGo even more with the vent holes covered!

Do you mean the round mouthpiece that you stuff the juice wick in?
If so, then yes.
Am I not really getting more vapor by covering the holes, like I am only
thinking I am?
With the cart (mouthpiece) in place and the 3 holes covered, it does apear to give me more vapor.
I have compared with and w/o hole covering, and covering does seem to
increase the amount of vapor, in that, I do not have to draw as long and
as hard as if I had all 4 vents open.

Also, I always blue aquarium heater pump foam in my carts and that seems to hold the juice a little better then the standard white fuzz

No.. I mean the atty cover.. the "cone".

The cone is designed to "tighten" up the draw... which gives a warmer vapor. It has a similar effect to partially covering up the atty slots/holes... along with the added benefit of pre-heating the incoming air and holding the atty temperature more "consistent".

If you're not using the eGo/Tornado "cone", then you are not getting the full experience.

Let me add some information here:

Mik did something kinda interesting when he designed the "draw" characteristics on the eGo. He made the slots in the top of the battery connector deeper than those on a standard 510 battery. Typically those slots are about .010" deep (although it is often all over the map). On the eGo he went with .015" or so. That means that the eGo/Tornado will usually have a substantially lighter "draw" than a standard 510 if you run it with the atty cover (cone) off. But.... if you put the atty cover on, the draw will get tightened back up... perhaps even tighter/harder than a standard 510. You can actually tighten/loosen the cone to play with this a bit if you want to.

It's pretty interesting in a nerd kinda way.

Yes, you guys saved the day

I put the cone on, and I am getting better hits, more vapor and flavor.

no more taping holes!

BTW, I finaly got so frustrated with my Prodigy's button problem, I decided to buy a Silver Bullet.
Should have it in a few days, and I can retire the Prodigy, which I have given up on.
When it wants to work, it vapes like a volcano, but half the time, the switch does not work, and I am tired of taking it apart to fix it
