Well I received my order from Johnson creek yesterday: 18mg Marcado and 11mg mint mocha. Both of them taste wonderful, though what is odd is that the "PG free" marcado's smoke isnt as thick as the mocha's is. Anyway, I began having concerns today after i went to the gym.

I ran for about 20 minutes, and then i started feeling a cough come on, and for 30 or so minutes i couldn't take a full breath without having a itching nagging cough come up- similar to what i felt when i smoked analogues and i was in a very dry environment. (this cough was much more full bodied though- lungs have been treating me very well with the switch to vape aside from this afternoon)

I've been vaping for about 2 weeks now, and never had a single problem coughing until today- until I tried the JC juice. My previous cartos had been from V4L and i did have a cappuccino VG carto set in there, so i dont think it is the VG.

Ive read the horror stories of people actually loosing their taste after smoking JC juice so needless to say im a bit concerned. Anyone have a similar "respiratory irritation" experience with either of these flavors? Or with JC in general?

The other alternative is that i ran outside today (it was 50 outside) for the first time in quite a while- i remember coughing when i used to run in the winter in high school from the lower temperatures, but my concerns lie more with this new liquid I'm vaping. The only really bad part is that it tastes wonderful and would hate to discover is the cause. Right now I ordered a rasberry/lime/spearmint oz, and a cinnacideoz from tastyvapor. to replace these, or at least get some variety in my life. in the meantime ill try only smoking one of the liquids for a few days, then smoke only the other and see how i react.

It may or may not have been the Johnson's creek. When you vape, it is a good idea to have some liquid available because vaping does dry out your mouth.

When I started vaping, a few weeks after I started I started coughing also. The cough lasted about three weeks and then stopped completely. The coughing, as I understand it, is caused by your body starting to get rid of all the crud that is in your lungs that smoking analogs has left.

Monitor your coughing, see if you cough when using other E-liquids, remember to drink while you are vaping and have a small drink or some gum in your mouth if you are going to run after you vape.

Too many factors to isolate a cause. Sometimes people do cough up a bit just starting because the lungs are doing a self-cleaning. First run in quite a while, etc. I wouldn't throw the JC juice out just yet, but I would change ejuices for now. You may have caught a cold, etc. Narrow things down. Keep things constant and then retry the JC juice. I'm not a fan of JC because they changed their original recipes but one of the reasons for that is that they were trying to fit some expected FDA requirements and refined their eliquid accordingly. So I doubt it is anything 'bad' in the eliquid, however it may be something that doesn't fit your body. Again, lay off of it for awhile to where things are back to normal for you and try it again. IF then you get the same reaction, I suggest sending it back. They have one of the best return policies in the business, in my experience.

You say you have been vaping for "about" two weeks now, have you completely stopped smoking tobacco? You also mention running outdoors, I have been seeing air quality alerts where I reside for the last week or so. This might simply be part of the healing process from discontinuing cigarettes. I work outdoors in all weather and did experience this occasionally in cooler drier conditions after I began vaping. Plenty of water and a humidifier helped with dry indoor issues. I am a pretty big fan of JC juices, PG and VG, so I tend to post in defense of their products. The use of these juices are just one factor among many in your recent lifestyle change.(EDIT Wow a lot of posts while I was typing)

So am I.

I've been using their products (PG) exclusively for almost 9 months with no ill effects. So it could be coincidence (your body adjusting to not smoking or a cold/seasonal allergies) or it could very well be something specific in their liquids that you're allergic to.

I used a prefilled cart from another supplier once and, within minutes, I was sneezing and sniffling non-stop. I was miserable for a few hours. The symptoms were so immediate and severe that I knew it was the liquid in the cart.

So if you're not sure, liked JC otherwise, and the symptoms aren't that bad, here's what I (personally) would do: wait until the symptoms clear up completely. Then, in a week or two, try it again. If the symptoms reoccur, then you'll know it's the JC doing it.

JC wasn't my thing either and made me cough like crazy too. I'm thinking it was a flavorant responsible for the irritation as I have problems with VG not PG. Like most things it works for some people and not for others.
Luckily I found someone who looooves JC juice and was able to pass it along.
You sure did Kat and thank you, thank you, thank you!

It's always tough for me to look at health concerns on this site. It's like going to the cadillac site and saying "hey has anyone noticed you are older and more well off than average?"

In the ecfs case you have a whole community of 20 year plus smokers going, hey I have noticed weird things with my health.

As always if you have a serious concern go to the doctor.

I want too concerned untill i read the posts of people who lost their taste for a day or so. I had been recovering from the flu, but no coughing untill i went for that run outside, so for now, thats my diagnosis. I have some tastyvapor on its way to me so ill be switching once they arrive, untill then im going to only use one of the JC flavors for a few days, and then use the other, see if i can narrow it down to either. I dont know exactly what JC juices you guys tried- ive seen very different reviews of their liquids (most notably the island juice), but the mint mocha and Marcado really do taste wonderful- very different, satisfying flavors, though not the best for all day vaping, which is why i ordered more.

Oh and on a side note, i was considering ordering the Cash Eliquid sample pack from puresmoker; how are their liquids?

I second the go to the Dr. thing. I use JC daily, not always the PG free, but I haven't had any problems with it. Also, just caught a bug thats going around and I started coughing. You may be catching something as well. I was a thirty year smoker, so it may be a combo of the lungs finally starting to heal and the virus, it's hard to tell, but I'm just a bit over two weeks in myself from my last analog.

I have been vaping the JC VG liquids for about a week and seem to be feeling better than with other e liquids I have used. I think different people react differently to certain chemicals. I have been sampling e liquids from various companies PG and VG, was just trying to find the right one. My boyfriend sampled the same ones and sometimes one will irritate my throat but not his or vice versa, so maybe it depends on the person. Hope that helps ;)

I am currently vaping JC Original, Espresso, French Vanilla, Summer Peach - all PG and Domestic, Marcado and Valencia VG. Some cheap PC juices give me some tightness in the chest and think I did feel heavy chested and short of breath with the JC VG at first. All is well now and I will continue to use JC especially the summer peach!!!
