Back in 2009 when I first discovered ecigs and dumped analogs for a while Johnson Creek was my go to juice. I absolutely loved the Tennessee Cured, Original and Kona Coffee. Two weeks ago when I decided to dump analogs again I ordered some Tennessee Cured, Red Oak Tennessee Cured, Original & Red Oak Domestic. To my surprise they tasted nothing like they used to. I even broke out my old DSE 901's and tried the juices on them to see if my new itaste vv 3.0 with iclear16, ARO & T3 toppers was to blame. Nope :(

The Red Oaks seem to have an overpowering cola like flavor on the back end. Cola isn't quite right but I just can't quite put my finger on it.

The Tennessee Cured now rather than being a smooth flavorful pipe tobacco tastes a bit like burnt caramel with an almost peppery menthol aftertaste.

I know peoples tastes change over time but mine didn't change that much. Has anyone else noticed a change in their flavors?

I sympathize with you but it could be worse. I got started with Blu then moved to a JC Vea using Domestic and Tennesse Cured. I was in heaven with these 2 flavors! Then suddenly I could no longer taste either one. Tried another batch of each- Nothing. Tried JC Chocolate Truffle and Swiss Dark- Nothing. Here it is 60 days later and- Nothing. Tried them in clearos, cartos and a dripper- Nothing. They all taste almost like a dry hit. Very disappointing. I can taste all my other liquids just fine.

Back in 2009 when I quit analogs I went through 5 bottles of Tennessee Cured in 3 months. I"d vape Kona with my morning coffee and TN Cured the rest of the day. Thought about it being my taste buds changing and while I won't rule it out, I still love the same "real" tobacco" I loved back then. It's been a little over 2 weeks sine I received the TN Cured, I"m planning on putting it through a warm, shake & steep daily cycle for a week and see if that helps it out.

I pretty much only vape Red Oak Domestic. I find that when I first get a bottle it does have a slightly odd taste. It needs to steep a little bit and get some air.. then it is delicious. Didn't like Red Oak Tennessee cured so can't help you there.. tasted like smoked ham to me or something heh.

What nic level you using btw? I use 18mg. So your taste my be affected by that as well.

Oh and don't forget to shake it really well!!

I felt the same with their chocolate truffle... When I first started out about a year ago (on again off again until recently) That was my absolute favorite of multiple different juices I've tried. Recently ordered it again and its ok, just kind of eh take it or leave it though... Maybe taste buds changed but it seemed very different

The bold is what I taste in TC, and I have been vaping it for several months now.

As far as the flavorful pipe tobacco, are you sure you were not vaping silverthorn? That is their pipey flavored tobacco.

Searched my email archive just to double check and confirmed all my orders back in 09 were for TN Cured. Also found an old bottle from back then about a 1/3 full in the bottom of my junk drawer. Debating on if it would be safe to vape to see how it tastes after steeping for a few years.

Try mixing chocolate truffle with Vanda.... makes a nice vape. I just got some Makana from Johnson Creek... its a new flavor. Fruity but wow.... I really like it! I'm rather new to vaping, only been in a month or so maybe, but I have never liked the tobacco flavors. Stuck to chocolates for the most part but am starting to like the fruits.
