Greetings Fellow Vapers!

Have been lurking on the ECF for quite some time now but with my Genesis mini DID on its way, I thought it was finely time to join the vaping community. Like many of us, I suppose, my vaping journey started with an AD on TESCO Online selling a disposable 5 quid e-cig and at the time being a relatively heavy analog smoker the journey began! Upon arrival I was quite impressed with it and saw its potential. However, very soon I was confronted with the downfalls of a disposable, which were the amount of vape time I could get of it. At the time I used to bring analogs from Portugal to the UK and 5 quid seemed very expensive for a couple of puffs on this marvelous device and so a long night web searching commenced.

Sadly a lonely night was not enough and I ended up ordering one of those automatic KR808D cig look-a-like starter kits from a vendor with a variety of flavors and pre-filled cartomizers... Obviously thread types and such valuable information was not available on the vendor's website but being happy with the next day delivery I was sold. Thus a couple of weeks passed experimenting with various Dekang juices (which had the vendors' label attached to it even though the cap says DK...). At this time I was still smoking analogs about a pack a day and with the summer looming the vaping came slowly to a halt.

Three months passed smoking only analogs and the cig look-a-like got stashed away in a drawer and then the one enlightening day came (about 3 months ago) where I was waiting for an appointment with one cigarette left in the pack, heavy rain and me hotboxing the analog inside a car. I opened the window to ash it and wham it fell down onto the gushing street... I thought this is it, **** the analog no more will I contribute to the cancer industry... and happily I have to say never picked up an analog since!

So my vaping journey recommenced... got my starter kit from the drawer and got vaping. On that day or the next ordered a ego style manual battery called vgo (an ego with a 808 thread?) with some Stardust tanks 808 threaded. Got a starter kit for my girl aswell then for my aunt and father... all 808 threaded... It seems I am ranting now because I am it just pisses me off vendors trying to sell e-juice as their own when the caps are obviously from Dekang... and then have all the same devices but just 808 threaded. I was considering not disclosing the vendors name but I must as I wish I would not have been pushed in by it on my initial attempts at vaping thus Jacvapour.com gets now my thumbs down after spending more than 300 euros on it. Selling Dekang juice with their own labeling on it without mentioning its Dekang is for me on the verge of fraud.

Anyways ranting aside, my journey led me to build 1.7 Ohm attys for the stardust with 32 gauge kanthal and into Janty e-liquids. Have not tried them yet but they are on the way just got the shipment confirmation today. Also placed another order today for a VMAX with a Rainbow re-buildable atomizer and a genesis mini DID with a 400 SS mesh. Can't wait...

So here I am completely sold to vaping but still looking for that alluded perfect vape! Vaping is the smoking of the 21st century!

Regards,

Malrork from Portugal

Thanks for sharing your story, and welcome! My early experiences with vendors were similar to yours. It seems as if the easiest vendors for new vapers to find are often the most deceitful. They withhold useful information and re-brand products as their own, presumably so you don't realize that their product is the same as everyone else's and not worth the price they're charging. Glad to see that patience and perseverance has brought you here, where information is not so heavily guarded, but rather distributed freely for all who seek it.

Thanks for reading Kable,

Yes I am with you on that just a shame information is not more readily available and some vendors are lurking for a quick buck. Moreover, in m opinion a vendor may make quite a profit for a while but eventually the customer will be lost when a realization comes that the product is rather miss leading.Would such information be supplied from the beginning the customer would not feel betrayed and thus maybe continue buying their products. I say bad luck to you fraudulent suppliers you may make a quick buck with me once but the trusted one will make a buck with me probably forever!

I couldn't agree more. It's a rather short sighted approach, and likely won't keep them in the game long. Luckily, there are plenty of vendors who do treat their customers with respect, and we have a community here to help us figure out which ones are which.
