Joy-e 510 Cartomizer Sucks (Or, I'm An Idiot)

Anyway, my problem is this... I have a Joy-e 510, and I'm using cartomizers so that I don't have to refill constantly. Well, the problem is that I AM refilling constantly. What gives? I might get 20 puffs on my e-cig before the poly fill gets dry, and I have to refill. Obviously I'm going through a ton of juice, and I feel that I should be getting better results (from what I've read) using the cartomizer, over the cartridge. Maybe I'm refilling too soon, but when I pull off the top, the poly fill looks dry. I generally do this when I start to taste a sort of burnt taste when inhaling.

I've tried the condom fill method, and pulling the tip and dripping around the edges. I find that I can get 15-20 drops in, but that might only last 20 puffs. That can't be right... correct?

I have a standard Joy-e 510 with no mods. I'm using Tasty Vapor juice 16mg if that makes a difference.

Please help... I can't refill this thing constantly. I'm even open to switching to a different model/brand if you guys (and girls) think it would help.

Sounds like you're power vaping and you do tend to go through ejuice but you should be getting more than 20 puffs. While this takes a bit longer, you might consider to set yourself up with a bunch of cartomizers filled this way. Fill from the top with the plug and rubber on the batt end - fill on an angle, rotate as you fill avoiding the center hole (filling that will flood it) and then either let it sit for a while or do the 'Taryn Spin' where you put the top rubber on and with the batt end out, put it in a lanyard or just a baggie and spin it to force the ejuice further into the carto. Then continue to fill, spin and fill. You should be able to get 35 drops in a standard cart and more with the 'mega cartomizers' (still the same diameter as the 510 - at nhalers). That way you start off totally full.

And you're right in refilling or filling through at drip tip at the first sign of a loss of flavor. That will cut into the total length of time that a carto will last and as long as you can do that you should and when you can't you have to stop before the burn taste - there will be hardly any flavor a while before you go to 'burnt'. And on the times when I got to 'burnt' I threw out the carto.

The other alternative rather than switching models - there's nothing special in terms of volume or time on the carto with the KR8 cartoz, you can't find with the 510 now... so you might consider an eGo batt - all you'd need is a battery and an eGo charger to start and a mega eGo cartomizer OR better yet, imo, because they hold the same volume - 2.5ml - get the mega eGo atomizer and the cartridge that goes with that (not a regular 510 cart). No need to get a whole kit. They have lasted me 5 hours in testing but now I can go 3 hours before I refill - not wanting to dry it out too much. The atty/cart combo is a lot easier to fill - just like a 510 atty cart except huge.
