Electronic Cigarette - Cartomizers - Joye eGo Cartomizer

I'm using a syringe and bottle like the YouTube vids show, but these cartos are starting to drip out the atty end before I even put 1ml in. I get about 2-3 draws on them then they taste like burnt plastic...

I have tried blowing them out then refilling, but same story, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your responses in advance. I can't wait till my reo gets here I'm getting to the same point with my ego as I was with my blu...

    in a cave, eh?
It takes a while for the juice to soak into the filler. Your problem appears to be that you're not getting enough juice into your cartomizer. And yes, even if you are syringe-filling down the side, you can still leak juice out and not get it well absorbed into the filler.

You may also have a problem if there's too much VG in your juice. VG has the consistency of syrup and can clog atomizers and cartomizers. A good PG / VG mix is 70% PG / 30% VG. You might even want 80% PG or more if you find your cartomizer is clogging and burning your juice.

When you're filling your cartomizer, I just drip in from the sides. It takes a while for the juice to soak into the filler, so I usually find myself rotating the cartomizer while I fill it so I can get more drops in before I have to wait to let it soak in. You really want to make sure the cartomizer is sufficiently wet without overfilling it. To force the juice down into the cartomizer quicker, you can either try a taryn spin (you spin the cartomizer in a lanyard and centrifugal force pushes the juice down into the cartomizer) or you can shake your cartomizer like a thermometer. When the cartomizer is full, the top of the filler looks kind of slushy and it won't absorb any more juice.

It's always good to keep some paper towels handy when you're filling. Make sure you wipe off any leaking juice before you put the cartomizer back on the battery. If you get some juice down the center tube, make sure you blow out the juice into a paper towel. If you overfill the cartomizer, you can try shaking the cartomizer into the paper towel.

It's also a good idea to periodically top off your cartomizer with juice rather than vaping it dry. If you've burned your cartomizer, you'll never get the burnt taste out of it.

I used to use them but could only use it once then tossed it. The second refill was where I got the nasty taste. I cut one apart once to see what it looked like inside. You would be surprised that there is only a wad of filler about 1/3 the size of a standard cotton ball. My advice would be to use up what you have and get a decent box of cartomizers like Boge brand. Smaller but taste a heck of a lot better.

When you fill them, take your needle and go down each of the airholes and extract the extra juice. This will save you some of the juice but doesn't help with the taste. I honestly think it is a design flaw that causes the bad taste. They are hit or miss type cartos. When they vape well, the flavor is excellent but when they suck, they suck.

I got some of those Mega cartridge things, tried them out, and didn't like them at all. They leaked, and I got very little vapor from them. Major pain, with no gain.

I stopped messing with them and I'm using ego type A tanks with much better results. I haven't tried the ego type B tanks yet, but I plan to. I actually stopped at vaporessence today thinking I was going to pick some up to try, but they don't carry them, so I'll have to order them.

I've only tried 1 ego xl carto. It's impossible to know when to refill it. They're sort of goofy looking. Just pick up some boge 2.0 cartos or dual coil cartos. They won't go to waste, you can use them on your reo.

This. IMHO, that particular cart is a waste of time and money. The Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartos from Madvapes rock! I've been a fan of both Type A and B Ego tanks, but these things are much better, and much less expensive. Do yourself a favor: can those Mega cart and get some EMDCC cartos. You can thank me later.

And I would like to be the 5th poster saying those damned things are a total waste of money! I was stupid enough to buy a pack (also from Liberty Flights) and couldn't WAIT to "enjoy" them ... HA!!! That strong plastic hit was just awful. So now I have the remaining 4 still neatly wrapped in their cellophane. Swedishfish is right: you just can't go wrong with the Boge 2.0 cartos! But we all "live and learn".
