Joye 510 Cartridge Filler

So I just bought a Joye 510 and was wondering what are some options I have to replace the original white fiber filler in the cartridge. I know that the originals aren't going to last forever..just trying to plan ahead. Thanks in advance for the help.

hello. well don't know what they have in japan, but the marineland rite size U that one uses for fish tank works best. some folks just get non treated polyfill from walmart or a craft store.

Pre-planning isn't really needed as it is very common. The material that generally is found in a cart is Fluval (yes the aquarium stuff) or 100% Pollyfill (the stuffing for pillows). There are also a number of mods for filler replacements. Some people use blue foam (again from aquariums, foam plugs (my favorite cart mod- by Hiighping), or pyramid tea bags (with or without straws). There are quite a few more. Each has advantages and disadvantages.

If you check in the forums under Tips & Tricks: sub Cartridge mods you will find more than you want. Try a few. Everyone has there favorite. As I mentioned I love the Highping Foam Plug-- thanks Highping!

I have tried the Wallmart poly, Fluval and the blue foam. For me I like the blue foam the best, it is easy to cut, easy/fast going into the cart and works great imo. So for me I like the blue foam best.

Try the cheap precut 510 blue foam stuffing pieces at strictlyejuice.com (I think 75 cents for 10) - cheapest way to try blue foam.
