This is not intended to be a review... just my thoughts about my first vaping experience.

I received my Joye 510 today! I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning when I opened it all up. I ordered the elite kit from nhaler along with assorted sampler juices. I couldn't wait to try all the flavors (maybe that's why I have a headache?) and get started. I have spent the last couple of weeks researching this stuff, so I thought I was ready, but I found myself fumbling with things getting it all set up. I went straight back here to the forums to re-read some of the things to make sure I was doing it all correctly! (Thanks to all!)

With a little trepidation I pushed the button and took my first drag. Well, it wasn't what I expected... but it wasn't bad. In a previous post I mentioned that I am a social smoker and go for weeks at a time without smoking at all.

In a nutshell, I have found in the last five hours that I want a lot more flavor, a little more vapor, less nicotine (maybe none), and longer battery life.

I loved the appletini and french vanilla coffee flavors of High Voltage 12mg from nhaler. I accidentally mixed them together and it was awesome! Just wish it had more flavor...

lol, one of my most delicious flavors was one I accidentally blended. Since it was an accident, I didn't have it written down, so I have no clue how to make it again.

What I wouldn't give for that again, whatever it was!

Very interesting, so you dont smoke a lot? I know if you start trying a lot of different flavors in a short time span they tend to all taste alike. Vaping definetly has a learning curve. the way I hit my 510 is a long light draw(dont suck real hard) Also since you have a man batt push the button a sec b4 you start to draw on it. You might want to try dripping which is taking the stuffing out of the cart and dropping the juice on the bridge of the atty. I can make a cloud of vapor with my 510.

For the OP - for dripping on the bridge - 1,2, 3 drops tops - no more or you'll flood the atty. And don't rule out some of those flavors now - your tastebud will return and they - esp. Drew's stuff - will have more flavor.

Brewster - lol on all tasting the same - went through that phase myself.

I tried dripping unsuccessfully. It made no vapor at all... I will try again tomorrow when my tastebuds (and head!) clear up...

If you're not getting vapor the atomizer is flooded. Remove, blow it out from the batt end and start over - 2 drops on the atty and fill (not overfill) the cart. That might be part of the overall problem. I'm assuming you have the joye 510 attys not some knock off or "HV atty" which would seriously reduce vapor on a regular batt.

I have been an on and off smoker my whole life but the last five years or so I have not had a daily habit. But I just can't resist around other smokers! And thanks for the advice! I will try that.

You are correct. I ordered the 510 kit from nhaler. I am pretty sure I flooded it out the first hour trying all those flavors between the two attys lol.

I use the spring mod for my 510 and it vapes like a champ. And I agree, e-cigs have a nice learning curve. I've found with mine that if I take long slow even drags that it produces the most throat hit and vapor. I can make huge clouds of vapor :) The only thing I did order to change my 510 up a bit was the flat-tips. They make a huge difference as well IMO.

I use to flood my atty on my 901 all the time it would drive me crazy. But on my 510 if I overfill it I get a mouth full of juice and a weak hit but it hits and I can burn off the excess juice. So is it possible to flood a 510 to where you get no vapor?

Without a doubt whistle tips make a huge difference.

Yes. It's possible. But I've also been through the scenario you mention too - lots of gurgling and it eventually burns off and you get good vapor back.

Firemarshal, give it some time, and the flavor will get there for you.
Lot of variables working against you day 1, many of which have been pointed out above.

Direct dripping gives me the most flavor and vapor on my 510. At home, I don't even use juice in the carts. Also, your atty is going to take a bit of time to break in, and you will notice flavor increase over the next few days.

Just stick with it, and you will be amazed a few days from now.

Good luck in your efforts!

After thinking about this I may have a cheap solution. Since you arent addicted to nic and are just after more flav and more vapor. www.tastyvapor.us sells what he calls a doubler which has twice the flavor, have him mix you a batch of 50% vg of whatever flavor you like. Vg produces more vapor than PG and that will give you more flav more vapor and no nic

Sounds like a great idea. The flavors look great there as well. If I were to get 100% VG would that be OK to use on my 510 atty or should that only be used with a HV mod and atty?

VG is very thick I would email Geoff and tell him your desired results. He will give you his suggestions on achieving them. I will tell you this while VG produces a lot of vapor it is weaker on what is called a throat hit. You may also want to get some vg or pg to cut the doubler in case they are to strong in flavor.
