Hi.

Seems I'm not allowed to post in the general discussion forum, so I'll try here instead.

I heart my Joye 510, bought from TECC under the name of "Titan", but I'm trying to look into what other suppliers are available, especially in the UK or ones elsewhere in the EU willing to ship to the UK at reasonable rates. The people at TECC are great, but their wares are pricey and the selection isn't all that it could be. For instance I discovered a Dutch company that sells the rechargable charging case separately for €20, whereas TECC only sell it as part of a £60 starters' kit. Also found an American company that sells five carts for $5, whereas TECC charge £10 for the same thing. (Although FWIW TECC seem to be the cheapest supplier of atomisers).

I'm also not too crazy about TECC's per-unit shipping costs. No matter the price, something just doesn't sit right with me about hiding part of it under P&P. I try to be a conscious consumer, you know.

So anyway, any ideas where to look? Or any other ideas on how to extend the life of my 510 and its various components without spending more than I must? It's the only e-cig I've seen up-close except for a disposable one I tried a while back (a Gamucci one which sucked), but from the pictures I've seen it looks a lot like the bit that connects that atomiser to the battery is the same as on a number of other e-cigs. So could I use other batteries or chargers with the 510?

I'm also quite crafty and enjoy taking things apart, so I was wondering if it might be possible to replace the battery cell inside the battery when it wears down (I won't bother trying to fix atomisers - managed to do a humpty dumpty on one). I'm not going to try until one of my batteries dies, but maybe one of you lot have had similar ideas. Is it a standard cell that might be sourced from certain mobile phone batteries, say?

Please give me your thoughts.

Kthx
me
