I got both the Joye 510-t and ego-t from valley vapor recently. The 510-t I have runs on automatic batteries and the ego-t runs on a manual.

I like the 510-t a lot, but the battery really doesn't last very long and it can be a chore to suck on it with the automatic battery. The atomizer itself gets dry every so often so every 12 hours or so I just put two drops of e-liquid right on the wick-speary thing. When it gets dry you get that annoying metal taste.

I got the ego-t a week later. The battery life is really good and the tanks hold a lot of liquid. I've been having a lot of problems with it though. I blew out the primer liquid first, and filled up a tank but there was a lot of that metal taste still. So I primed it with some e-juice as usual but the metal taste came back a few minutes later. So both of my ego-t atties have some major issues getting dry. They're not wicking the juice properly. Not entirely sure why. Even after I prime it I can't seem to draw a whole lot of it. I also have an annoying 'wistleing' problems with it on some tanks. Sounds like a dog whistle when sucking on it.

Since I had a some annoying problems with the ego-t's atty I took advantage of the joye compatibility. I screwed on my 510-T atty to my ego-T battery. It's a REALLY good combo. I still get the convince of tanks without the forementioned issues. The battery lasts all day so I just have to keep some e-liquid handy for refills and I'm set for the day. I'd be curious to know the problems that I have with my ego, so for now I'm just mix-matching.

When I started vaping a few months ago and started with an ego-t type a kit ( the cone) had lots of problems with leaking and weird tastes, so I moved to a 3.7v mod and LR cartos , while my wife still used the ego-t

To make a long story short , the attys in the kit died and i decided to get her the type b LR atty ( cylinder)
They work great ! No funny taste, way more vapor production and best of all no funny taste!

I've been using the Joye ego-t (A style) from Cignot for a long time now and have had nothing that I would consider a real problem. They wick good and I only get that burn taste when I forget to re-fill the tank. They do leak after about a month and although I had some luck cleaning the attys at first, I found it's easier to just replace the atty once it starts leaking. The cost is the same as a few packs of smokes, and as I had been smoking about 3 packs a day, it's still a heck of a lot cheaper to buy a new $20 atty each month than it was to smoke.

I use a needle tip bottle to fill the tanks, so I'm not fighting with taking off the little caps to re-fill. I also got some of those new silicone caps from Cignot, and that seems to have cut down on the leaking problem. One tip I have is to always dry off the end of the tank before you put it back in the atty. This seems to help with the leaking issue as well. I have had to replace one or two tanks. Once they get juice in the mouthpiece, it's over - time for a new tank. I also have had to replace the USB chargers, but again, it's still cheaper than smoking.

Hmmm... the more I read this forum, the more I think I am completely in the minority in thinking the Joye 510 is a piece of garbage. Whenever I find myself getting convinced that I need to buy an Ego, I try to remember how disappointed I was in every aspect of the 510- I am SO much happier with a revolving selection of cheap cig imitations, and the cartos I refill with a revolving selection of tobacco flavored 24mg liquid... Am I the only one? Will I grow out of this?

Am I the only one?

Probably not. I'm leaning heavily toward the 510-T ... but I'm vaping right now on a stock 510. And I still like cartos, too.

One thing I've learned in the short time I've been vaping is that there's a sweet spot formed by all the variables. Too much juice = flooding. Too little juice = burning. Battery loses its peak = weak or no vape or flavor. What you're vaping is probably the single biggest variable. Last week I picked up a random sample of some different juices to try (RY4, Freedom Smoke, PureCig, etc...). Some are thicker than others and that can make a HUGE difference. But when all the variables come together... it's vaping bliss.

Don't give up on the 510 just yet. It's the most popular (IMHO) system for good reason. But if you do decide you've had enough of it, toss it my way! :D

I am using a KR808 with cartos that you get with Bull Smoke, and it is not hard to refill them IMHO. The battery does not las long enough for me if I am to be out away from the house for long periods of time so I am going to get an eGo-T to balance out the times away from home.

I hope that there come some improvements that fix these issues as times go on.

Peace
