Joye 510 vapor questions

Just got back on my e-cig.

I own a joye-510 no mods. I use it mainly on a usb-passthru, always plugged in.

My problem is. Its never consistent. I have to fiddle with it a lot. Hits vary so darn much. No matter if its a fresh battery, new atomizer, new cart, freshly filled with e-juice, or not.

I have multiple parts of every part. Same results.

Then I rarely ever produce the vapor, that I see countless others do. With the same model on u-tube.

Feel like im doing something wrong. Everything Ive read on how to hit it, refill it, maintain it. I do. Nothing seems to make it better. Im baffled.

I just want it to hit like I see so many others do on U-tube. More consistent, with less fiddling.

So much easier to light a analog. It hits right all day.

joye 510. Usb passthru. 3 manual batteries. 4 standard atomizers, 2 of which came in the kit. Wide variety of e-juice, from different companies. Then standard polly carts, like ones that come in the kit.

Any tips to get this model to work as I see in so many u-tube videos. Would be appreciated. Far as vapor production and consistency. Ty

Vg puts out more vapor. A lot of times in the videos they do not inhale and use a high percentage of vg.

Tell me something are you happy with the device other than vapor?

Far as my other e-cig yes. But yes i want more vapor. Want it to be more consistent. I want to just re-fill, snap and go.
Been looking at mods. I dont care what it looks like. I want a e-cig to replace my morning analog. So far none, ive had hit hard enough or consistent enough. I wanna wake up and hit it, no fiddle.

But it has cut my smoking down to 1-3 a day. But I fein for a analog all day. Because its not hitting my throat enough. I dont see enough vapor. More mind over matter. But i dont wanna quit. I wanna replace my habbit.

But far as I can see. If my joye 510 hit like all these u-tube videos. I wouldent need a mod or another e-cig.

So what liquid should I be getting for more vapor/throat hit?

i bought a couple of uk e liquids Ego kits same problem I have four ECigs in total from two kits I leave two ml of space at top of tank and get loads of liquid in mouth/dry hits/flooding son in law had exact same problem tried with 11mg e juice and 18 mg juice same problem very very disapointed

Well Keha they have their tricks to make those you tube videos look wonderful but the fact of the matter usually all of us end up upgrading at one point in time.

Some do not recommend this but me on the other hand I have tried it and it worked for me. Pick you up an ego kit get a 900 mah or a 1000 mah and some 1.5ohm dual coils. They will give you a stronger throat hit and more vapor. The low resistant cartos do wear down the life of a battery more but if it gets you off analogs that is the key. Once you get the chargers and the usb cables you can replace an ego battery for anywhere between 10 to 15 bucks. So if 1 ego batt last you 6 months and you are off analogs then that was well worth it imo.

As for the juice the pg will actually give you more throat hit and flavor. The vg actually gives you more vapor. A lot like to use a blend of both. For me I am a 100% vg!! You have to find what you like. Don't be scared to try new things.

I actully found last night that although im using a tank atomizer on my imatation Ego it vapes a million times better if I drip it with a drip tip on the end, on some youtube video,s people complain of there ego,s flooding and they take the cart off and can still vape for a good five minutes without any burning taste

I had some carts when I got my egos but I am lazy so I used the cartomizers instead of the atomizer. Now when I go to test juices I will use my atty and a drip tip, but the cartridges I just tossed in the garbage.

so your saying a ego produces alot more vapor?

i mixed some my tobbaco flavor e-juice with my kiwi juice. getting more consistent hits and more vapor. But still not where id like it. When i started e-cig about 2 years ago. there werent options to buy all vg from places i shopped. I see there are now. Going to try a few.
Then was thinking about buying a 5v usb passthru for my joye 510. Or would you think id get more consistent vapor off a ego?

A 5v passthrough will need ample output in order to actually provide you with 5 volts. Most of the usb ac adapters are 500ma output few are 1000ma output. Then you got a couple that are 2000ma output. A 5 volt passthrough requires at least 1000ma out put or in other words 1 amp output.

The cheapest 5volt 2amp power adapter I could find was for around 9 bucks at madvapes. Then you look at the 15 bucks for the 5 volt pass through plus shipping. Your looking at a price of an ego kit when all said and done. Not to mention you will still need cartos. I recommend cartos cause they don't leak. Fill and go.

5 volt passthrough is a nice concept but without adequate power source at a reasonable price you are better off just getting an ego kit.

They do make 5 volt 5 amp output chargers but you are looking at the price of a provari or darwin.

You are using cartridges? No wonder it's inconsistent. Most people use cartomizers. On the slim 510 you can use any standard resistance (2.5-3 ohm) cartos. Boge are most popular. And try the Boges and other cartomizer on the PT. I find they work best with thin juices, like 80PG/20VG, and I avoid juices that sem to drop flavoring sediment in the stuffing.

i would also like to recommend what got me off analogs initially, 510 battery with gotvapes 510 2 ohm fluxomizers, there a little more involved to fell but they will give a stronger hit, IMO, and warmer vaper than a regular carto, but i will say that the boge 510 carto's are not a bad place to start. also if your looking for more throat hit and vapor, use a 75% pg to 25% vg or similar mix and if your current nic level is giving the throat hit move up to the next level ie if your vaping 12 mg goto 18mg.

i use 24mg nicotine. Gonna try out a pure vg liquid. then 75%pg/25%vg liquid.

If that dont work. Ill try a ego. But i find that kit almost same price as mods like a silver bullet. Again i dont care what it looks like, i care how it works.
Also been eyeballing this cartomizer Dual Coil 510 Tank Cartomizer
looks funky, i know. But again i care about performance.
Any better suggestions? i feel i waste alot of money on this habbit.

You can get a vv box mod from madvapes for about $35 + another $20ish for batts and charger. Ugly as hell, but said to be a very solid performer.

There's also the infinity pro vv mod from notcigs for <$115 with batts and charger, shipped, with coupon code. Or the buzz pro from the same company for about $30 more.

that dual coil tank won't work on your regular 510's and if you want to try an ego try this Ego 510 Passtrough 3.7 Volt it works as a pass thru and off the usb its a 900 mah ego and its only 19.99. i think you will find that an ego with a lr carto or that tank will be what your looking for.

I think you would be very happy with an e-power with a 2.0 or 1.6 dual coil cartomizer and 50/50 juice.

The ego battery with the same atty you're using now will perform about the same as the battery you have now. It's just that you can go to a lower ohm atty or carto and the ego battery will hold up to it, where as the slim battery won't.

The only way to get more vapor with what you have is to slow your draw way down. Experiment a little. Try pulling the vapor into your mouth really slow, stop and start a little if you have to, but try to get your draw out to about 6 seconds at least. That allows time for more juice to wick to the coil and be vaporized. Then open your mouth a little to mix a little air on the inhale.

As juice is vaporized, more juice has to wick in to keep the coil moist, and if you pull too fast, you won't get as much vapor.

A topcoil (ce2 or bauway clone) in the 2.4 ~ 2.6 ohm range will produce good vapor and taste and should still be ok on your slim batteries. They can be a pita, so watch some videos on them to make sure you can deal with them.

If you do decide on a mod, I recommend taking a look at the e-power.

When switching from a pg blend to a 100%vg blend you are going to be like, YUCK this has no taste. Don't fret over this it will take a few days to get use to the 100%vg.

No one ever really talks about it much but pg coats my mouth something horrible and it makes my mouth feel like I have a zombie tongue. The vg doesn't do that to me. So just be patient with the transition in the juices. Give it at least a week to make up your mind if you like 100%vg. I personally love it!!

Also the dual coil cartomizers are not recommended for the joye 510!!
