BE= Bestecig. I've heard people say that they make their own but the ones I have look just like the SLB 510's - washer instead of metal mesh at the base.

I have one 510 atty in my collection that looks different and has (what
looks like) a washer at the bottom! otherwise, it functions just like the
others but I always wondered why it was different and where (who)
made it.
You say Bestecig sells these?

I cant remember ever doing business with them, so I still wonder how it
got into my collection!!??

I have a 5 pack of BE510 atties. No washer inside any of them. These are the only five I have but they all are nearly identical to Joye510s when looking down inside. I ordered during the CNY and received them around 2/28 if that matters. Haven't had any weird tastes yet. Now the BE112 atties I have been using on my DBSB for about two weeks have recently started giving off a nasty burnt taste that wont go away, but thats another story.

Bestecig sells the BE510 that is this 'washer-type' atty, yes, but other vendors sell it too. Stricklyejuice sold the L2 and it looks the same - whether it is or not, I don't know. [and I want to reiterate that bestecigs also has the BE112 - which is an 801 style atty - that I really like and use daily. I also like a few ejuices from bestecigs. I just didn't care for the BE510 atty for reasons stated - a nasty taste (takes your breath away nasty) that couldn't be gotten rid of - same as some SLB L2's that I have.]

Both have the washer type base rather than the metal mesh base that all Joye attys that I have - Joye 510 from heaven gifts, Dura C from Janty, Titan from Totally Wicked, Yeti from Altsmoke - and with which I have not had any problems. I have not lost a Joye atty in 9 months other than 3 that were my fault - burned up 2 (in one day!) on a 5V by hanging on the button and one that burned up on a stuck switch on my Protege - all were replaced btw - one by Steve at puresmoker and 2 by Wayne at heaven gifts.

What I've seen is that some vendors have a blurb along the lines of "compatible with Joye 510, Dura C, Titan, Yeti, TECC" or they mention their models as 'like the Joye 510, et. al.' but that doesn't mean they are Joye products and in many cases they are SLB products. Still, many newbies (and some oldies ;-) still think they have a Joye 510 product.

Some vendors, the Widow, (widowbeadworks.com), cignot.com, eg. list the manufacturer of each of their products.

V4L has the same problem with "Vapor King" - their products are VK products but then there's Vaporking.com that sells a different line in cartos, and people mix the two up. I still don't know if the "Vapor King 510" is a Joye product. I'm guessing no, but that's just a guess. I simply don't buy any other attys for the 510 unless I know they are Joye.

And understand.... IF you run any atty dry and continue to vape - whether it is a Joye, DSE/SLB, BE, Cartomizer, or any other, you are going to get a very nasty dry atty taste. However, with the BE510 (only) and the SLB L2's that I had, (and this is no reflection on SLB's OTHER products - DSE901/801, etc. as I've never had problems with those) I got that taste with a ful cart and having a wet bridge on those 510 attys. And this taste is different than the shipping/primer fluid taste.

And I can only go from my own experience and those that have reported the same thing. I have no bone to pick with any vendor, manufacturer, poster who recommends... anything. After having bought them and seeing the theads reporting the same thing, I just took the hit - figuring sending them in for a replacement wasn't going to help. I could have asked for a refund I suppose - if it were a kit I likely would have. The BE's were such a "good deal" and the return to China would have been more bother and cost than I wanted. I still buy their BE112's and Cream ejuice (one of the better creams, imo ;-)

Edit... just saw gratefulbuddy's comments and I was one of the first purchasers of the BE510 attys... in mid 2009. And still haven't had that experience with the 112's. ??

Thanks harpo for the referral:)

However, undergoing a lot of changes lately, the link has been changed to: Joye510 Electronic Cigarette :: Extra Parts - Electronic Cigarette Store | Premium E Cig & E Liquid

We also have a promotion on all our products for this month, including the Joye510 atomizers, by the discount code: "march10off" which can be entered at checkout.

We have served many customers in the past and have met up to everyone's expectations.

-Any

You're welcome. As soon as my stock goes down I'll make a purchase.

I've never heard of an 'Expert 510' but unless it is a Titan, Yeti, TECC, or Dura (which are all Joye's) I doubt that it is a Joye. The other factor is that some of the ohm ratings are different (and of course the HV attys are different - but so are some of the clones).

Hey Kent

Both EXPERT 510s and Joye Genuine 510s attys are sold at electronicstix.com.

JOYE 510 ATOMIZERS

Jason says....
Expert are not made by joye they work just fine but just a preference thing

Just wodered if anyone had any 1st hand experience with them.

It isn't always just a preference thing - sometimes it's an ohm rating thing ;-) and a possiblity of a bad taste thing. Someone would literally have to give me a non-Joye atty at this point and I'm not really 'soliciting' that. I'm good. ;-) Good that he carries both - smart.

I tried dura c, also the tawa atomizers, and then a couple of months ago ordered the be 510's because of the cheap price. (5 batts/5 atomizers)

my first impression of the BE 510 atomizer was more air/less vapor than the dura or tawa atomizers. but, not bad! kinda got used to them.

in the last few months the BE atomizers are puffing away, but all 5 BE 510 batts (manual) died within a few days of each other. I'm down to 1 old janty batt.

I'm not sure which way i will go from this point. if i re-order 510 gear, i think i would go with all joye products. the rich-warm-full flavor hit from a good working joye 510 atty is hard to beat.

currently i have gone back to some old 801 gear i had laying around.

i am dripping with some BE 112's and an old Janty 801 atomizer and using auto batteries.

it's great! i also have manual 801 batts, but the autos work well with my sipping/puffing style of vaping. each puff starts/stops the cutoff routine so there is virtually no cutoff. i can puff away until the battery is dead.

i know the auto batt's will gunk up eventually from dripping, but at the moment it is a great drip combo.

i might just order a bunch of 801 auto batts cause they are cheap, and stay old school with 801's !

Well I got 5 of each and believe or not the joye 510s were a disappointmet compared to DSEs. Go figure
whoknows.gif
. I ordered 1 H2O (they are on backorder). Going to see what they are like. I'm beginning to think the issue is consistency in how they are made. It seems to be hit and miss....no way to judge.

Curious, have you measured the resistance of these?
Asside from that, do they function the same?

Folks who make the higher voltage PV's always recommend the HV 510's
because they are afraid you will fry a normal one, but I perfer using the
2.2 (or whatever it is) atty on a 5V PV simply because I get so much
more vapor (I do like nice big clouds of vapor!!).
I would not use a 2 ohm atty on a 6V PV though.

Have you tryed these 2 different attys on high voltage PV's to see how
well they "hold up"?
