I am trying to decide between this two as the next kit to purchase. But I am still confused. What's the difference between eGo and eGo-T? Is the 510 sufficient to be the main PV or should I go for eGo?

Also, I read that eliquid can be used? What do I need to do to use eliquid for 510? Drip or use the Blue Foam and stuff it into an empty cartridge and then drip onto the Blue Foam?

Thanks in advance for helping a newbie!

I've been using the eGo-T for a few weeks now. I did have problems with the tanks leaking but I think it was due to crappy quality of wick letting the juice flow out too fast. It's supposed to be fed by pressure when you draw, but if the wick has gaps in it or isn't dense enough the liquid can just continue to flow out. I'll be posting my wick fix as soon as I get enough posts.

The 510's were too much hassle dealing with the tiny cart and filler material. The tank system is just what I needed.

I'll have to read your link surfer. ecigs are pretty new and the health risks aren't well understood. I try to stick to VG based liquids mainly cause I don't trust PG, no matter how safe they say it is. Some people have allergic reactions and that tells me it's prob not the best thing to be consuming regularly, even if you aren't showing any symptoms. Nicotine overdosing is of course a risk as well, but that can be managed by self-moderation.

The ego is a great e-cig. The battery is big and will last most of a day if not more.
Since the atomizers are a recurring expense, I suggest getting the ego-T set and purchasing a pack of cartomizers when you make your purchase.
the carts are self-contained attys and juice that do fit on the ego-T batteries.
Carts can be refilled, but the tank allows you to see how much juice is left in the tank and is easier to refill.

The tanks work for me. It took some learning to use it correctly.

If the tanks don't work out for you, someone will gladly buy the atomizers from you.

I'm new to this, but see both the Ego series and the 510 as part of the "510 platform". While there are some restrictions with charging of the batteries, you can switch cartomizers and atomizers across the two systems. Personally, I do like having both the Ego and the 510. I've found that the Ego, with its larger battery, is good for the home & car. And the 510, with its more stealthy size, is good for being on the go (eg. sneaking a few puffs in public places).

While I do have a Ego-T, I sometimes throw those 510 Cartomizers on my Ego batts. An Ego with a 1000mah battery and full on tank system is kind of large to fit in my pocket. The 650 battery, with the Cartomizer, is a bit more reasonable in there. But a little 510, even the extended battery version, is almost unnoticeable. Each configuration has its place.

I have found the 510 batteries for $5 and the chargers for as cheap as $3. So, assuming you get an Ego, just invest another $8 and you've got a portable backup. Buy a few cartomizers, and you can use them on both systems. If you go with an Ego-T, you may want to add the cone cover (about $3) to make the Ego more ergonomic.
