Joye Ego-T or Riva

Hey ECF,

Just signed up today currently i have a DSE901 but i am after something with a bit more battery life.

I have been looking at the Joye Ego-T (Joye eGo kits & Accessories) but recently noticed the Riva (Riva Ecigs)

I am just wondering if i can install a tank onto these Riva E-Cigs and if so how would i do it? Should i get a Joye 901/510 tank (they come with foam inside, i prefer the EGO-T tank) or should i try the Ego Tank to see if it fits?

Any guidance would be lovely

Thanks!

I don't really recommend the eGo-tank to newbies there been alot of issues with it. Not getting a good consistant flavor, flooding and etc. If you do not want to mess w/ the wicking on the eGo-T, don't consiider it for now till maybe a better version comes out. I never try a Riva 901 though, only tried a Riva 510. But I would think you can use an adaptor 901 to 510 to use the tank or any 510 threading.

Hope this helps

*I think you would need something like this adaptor which I dunno if they ship to austrailia http://www.madvapes.com/901-Battery-to-510-Atomizer-adapter_p_2150.html

*There no foam or filler in the tanks

If you look at this sub forum regarding eGo modells, you will see alot of thread about the eGo-tank, and issues ppl are having http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/

Riva 510 battery has the same connector as the eGo/joye 510 battery, so you can fit an eGo-T atomizer on a Riva 510. No special modifications needed, the Riva 510 fits straight to the eGo-T atomizer.

Just got my first Riva 510 a few days ago to try out with my eGo-T setup, so I can't comment much about it. Most noticeable difference, the Riva 510 button is a rubber or silicon covered type, where the eGo battery is a hard plastic button, both make a similar clicking noise when you press it.

The black eGo battery has a soft rubber coating that matches the black ego-T atomizer. The black Riva 510 battery has more of a hard, glossy, plastic coating. It's not a perfect match to the ego-T atomizer in appearance or feel, but doesn't look bad.

Thanks for your replies!

I think i will buy a Riva (Riva Ecigs) Will i have any issues using 510 mods with a Riva 1100mAh battery? Also what is the best mod to hold more then 3ml for a 510/Riva

Thanks again!

I wasnt looking too carefully, the site you were refering to says Riva 901 set on the top. I just click on it and look at it more clearly and I see it says comes w/ 510 atty and etc. So I'm assumming it's the Riva 510 kit that you are purchasing. If you are purchasing the Riva w/ the 510 connection, then you do not need an adaptor to use any eGo parts. Riva 510 is a knockoff eGo so they are both basically the same. The Riva 510 works very good as well. Riva 510 and eGo are compariable so all pieces are interchangable.

I bought a ego 650 first time and 2nd time a tornado.(another knock off brand) the tornado came with 750 and 1000 mah batteries and that tipped it. The extra life is convenient and gets me through the day with plenty to spare. the 750 mah pass through is cool. (not sure riva has one)

Can't vouch for the riva personally but from what i read they are reliable may or may not have the new on off feature (press button 5 times for off) which could be good depending how you carry you PV.
stay away from the tank if you are a newb (unless you are lucky) the atomizers are expensive, unique and faulty. the design needs a couple more iterations. standard ego cartomizers work more reliably.

I'm using a riva 510 with a no filler mod. I know that it's possible to buy the joye tank and put it on a riva 510.

I'd recommend the riva 510. It's awesome and cheap! go to liberty-flights.com and use the 20% discount!

I couldn't wait to buy a tank kit and try it out, so I used the no filler mod, I personally thought it was the same concept, just in a smaller scale.

pandatera,

Would you recommend buying a genuine eGo 650mAh kit or Riva 510 with 1100mAh kit? I am leaning more towards the Riva 510 with the 1100mAh battery but i am a newbie :p

Thanks
I have both Riva 510 and eGo and I think they perform the same way. Riva is normally cheaper $. There is also a new eGo battery (650mAh or 1000mAh w/ 5 clicks on and off switch which I like better. That the only difference I can find between them. But I think most of the normal eGo kits the one w/out the tank atty has the old version of the battery (no 5 clicks on and off). I like the new eGo battery, so won't misfire wen I have it in my jacket pocket or bag. If you are the type that carry your pv in your bag or pocket you might want to get the eGo w/ the battery (5 clicks on and off) so it won't misfire. Otherwise I think they both function the same way.
