I bought a deluxe eGo-T kit from Health Cabin. It only took 7 working days from them shipping it to delivery day. I charged the batteries and installed the tank and I was in bissiness. I used it for a couple of hours with one of the LR atomizers that came with the kit, no leaks I was impressed.

After ascertaining that it would work for what I wanted it for, I pulled the tank off the atomizer and it came apart leaving the cap part inside the atomizer and what was left of the juice all over my lap.

Try as I might, I could not get the cap out of the atomizer. It was stuck to the needle so hours after using the eGo-T for the first time I scraped an atomizer and a tank cartridge.

There must be a better way of filling the tank cartridge then an off and on cap that can come off when changing or removing it for a refill. Now I know what some writers were talking about when they said they were using a needle to fill the cartridge. But it could still come apart when removing it.

Joye needs to make a one piece cartridge and some kind of dispensing tool that you can fill with juice that will pierce the membrane of the cartridge. (A blunt needle tipped squirt gun or bottle) LOL:blink:

This actually happened to me the other day with a tank that I've been refilling for like a week straight(so I wasn't surprised). Thankfully, I didn't pull it out until it was empty though. I didn't panic or anything....just grabbed a pair of tweezers and yanked at the cap one side at a time. If this happened to you on your first few carts then I would've said look into another vendor. But since this was the very first cart then I would just call it a bad cart.

These Ego-T's are starting to wear me out too. I have a big problem with tanks leaking, sometimes even on fresh ones. I make sure that the caps are back on tight after I fill and I avoid twisting them after the are mounted on the atomizer, but frequently end up with a tank completely emptying itself and juice leaking out everywhere. Anyone have any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong?

I have never had that happen. I use a small pipette to fill mine and only take the caps off to clean them. You should check out the Turbine from Got Vapes. I love them :) no little cap either

Can the Turbine tank be filled by dripping into it directly from the bottle without using a syringe? Don't want to lug more equipment around.

After I had already written my thread I found a pair of hemostats and managed to get the cap out sluers. It was the hard plastic.

When a friend got her first ego/tornado tank system, the cart had a soft rubber top. Her's got stuck on the piercing tube. That is why I asked if yours was a rubber or hard top.

one thing i found out about ego t is that if u fill them with one flavor alone it will work as it should but if u constantly changing flavors then there is some issues e.g. dry hits or burnt taste... since then i only fill my ego with one flavor and it works like a charm ;)... dont overfill the tanks too just leave a lil bit of gap for airflow and that could possibly prevent it from leaking...what i do mine is fill the tank, prime it off like 6 dry hits then puff it...do not twist the tank...only twist it if theres a wicking issues...other than that i have no issues with my ego t ;)

Wait, are you talking about the rubber piece that covers the hole on the cart to prevent leaking? Or, the thin cap/piece that "snaps" on top of the tank itself? If it's the rubber cap that covers the hole then that needs to come off before inserting the tank. I have never seen a rubber cap that goes on top of the tank. Maybe they exist but I have never seen one.

I use the 510-T, but they have a similar design in regard to tank caps. And yes, after prying them off and on a bunch of times, they can get loose . . . and I don't doubt faulty ones exist, either.

The workaround (and most definitely not a solution) is syringe or needle-tip filling. American E-Liquid Store is selling a needle-filling kit for $5.99 that'll work on most 15ml or 30/60ml bottles; I've also seen people recommend using precision oiler bottles (though brand news ones, obviously). By using the needle fill, you don't have to pry the cap on and off repeatedly and you prevent wear to the plastic.

But again, this is not a solution, just a stop-gap fix. A better design would be a screw-top cap, honestly.

Since the cap when replaced has a full snug snap - I'm guessing that it was either on at a 90 where the sides don't align or not fully snapped into place. If you didn't remove the chad after the puncture then it could have been a tight hold on the spike enough to leave the cap if it wasn't in place. Even if you didn't remove the chad and the cap was snapped in, it wouldn't have stayed on the spike. I prepunction, remove the chad and then ream out the hole with scissors - some wouldn't recommend that last part - reaming but I'm convinced that leaks are from people removing and replacing the cap or the wick being out of line not from ejuice leaking from any gap between the spike and the hole.

I have just ordered one of each of those needle refilling kits. I have precision oiler bottles, but they only release about a drop at a time and you can get a hand cramp because you have to squeeze so hard.

Okay, when your ego-t starts leaking, 9 times outta 10, it's the hole in the cap. If you drop your unit, put it in a bind in your pants pocket(sit down with it in there), the mouthpiece gets jiggled and the hole gets jacked up(the piercing hole on the cap, inside the atty. If you have extra caps, replace it, or just grab a new tank cart. Also, when you swap out tank carts, you need to twist while inserting into the atty. The snap caps are a pliable plastic, so if it doesn't go on perfectly aligned, it will make the hole lop-sided and it will leak. If you don't believe me, next time your cart leaks, take it off and look at the hole-is it perfectly round? Even if it has a slight bevel on one side, it will leak. The hole SHOULD look like this :

I have been using the joye ego-t type A for a few months with no issues. I ordered the type B atomizer and only used it with one tank for almost a month. I inserted an empty tank to pierce it and when i pulled it out the whole needle and wick came out o_O I was pretty bummed. Now I'm wondering if I should stick with type A on my next order.

I've had Type-A (cone) caps get stuck also. Not sure if they were faulty or I didn't snap them in good.

You can get new rubbery caps from Totally Wicked in the ego section.

I prefer the Type-A, the Type-B whistle tip is too big.

I've been looking for an upgrade for the standard eGo Tank because of the difficulty in cleaning the gunked up atomizers. It's really too much trouble... the wick is held together with some wire mesh which tends to fall apart... and even when cleaning and repacking goes smooth, it just doesn't vape the same.

Don't ever let it run dry... then you'll have a pile of gunked atomizers like I have now.
