I have been using the joye ego-t type A for a few months with no issues. I ordered the type B atomizer and only used it with one tank for almost a month. I inserted an empty tank to pierce it and when i pulled it out the whole needle and wick came out o_O I was pretty bummed. Now I'm wondering if I should stick with type A on my next order.

Stick with the B low resistance.

As for you needle coming out, it has happen to me with tanks with the plastic caps. Get some rubber silicone caps to fix that problem.

As for putting the EGO-T needle back in, watch this video

sorry that happened to you. i havent had any issues with my ego (thankfully) and really enjoy it. here is what i do and the first being what i think might have lead to your problem. when i first pierce a new tank i will twist (rotate) the tank back and forth. after which i will remove the tank and remove the little piece left from the hole made by the needle. i then fill the tank and replace the end cap. if you didnt twist the tank after you first punctured it that might have been your problem. this is speculation of course but i could see this happening and also with the soft end cap tanks.

i also remove the end caps to fill. this might be blasphemy but i do it and it hasnt caused me any problems so far. it might reduce the life of the tank by doing so but all of the tanks i bought with my ego-t kit still work as well as the others i have bought sense. if i find out that removing the end caps cause the tanks to fail ill stop but for now its just easier to do it that way.

maybe i just got luck with my 2 ego-t kits and all the attys and tanks i have but i really would like to think not. for me it has been a pleasurable experience so far.

(sorry i didnt read the whole thread so if some of these points were already addressed im sorry but i just wanted to state my findings and opinions. hopefully this will help others. also watch all the videos vicky at cignot put out they are very informative)

I use the silicone caps from cignot after first being exposed to them on a Bauway iTank. I remove them every time for filling and rarely get any leakage. I've never had the cap stick to the needle during removal. I clean my attys in a $25 Wal-Mart ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and they come out like brand new. I'm very pleased with my setup: 650mah USB pass-through batteries, Type B LR attys, silicone caps for the tanks and Viking Vapor custom-mixed juice.

Do you remove the needle to clean them?

im sorry but im late into this thread... i am on my way of purchasing the type B's atty's and tanks from healthcabin... they do offer 10 silicon caps(for $0.90) for the end of the tanks where you refill the tanks from.... i don't think anybody has tried this so far but.... why don't you guys try and glue the end cap with the tank?!? preferably epoxy, or super glue... and my suggestion would be to glue the silicon end caps to the plastic tank... that way the hole of the end cap wont get bigger by pushing in and pulling out the tanks a lot since its silicon... and if you want to clean it then take a syringe fill with hot water, put the needle inside the tank and push the end of the syringe... and the excess water will find its way out from the end cap...also if there's any water left inside the tank then simply put a syringe inside the tank and suck it all out....
this would rinse/clean the inside of your tank...also you wont wave to worry about the end cap being left behind on the atty, or the atty being pulled out by the end cap since its gonna be silicon........
problem solved i think... but i will do the experiment when i order and get everything and post a thread here...also i'll make a tutorial if it comes out to be a successful one :)
but in all technicality it should workout...

Sounds like great advice to me. I have 5 Ego-T Type B large tanks, including one pass through, and I haven't had a problem one, but I use the same procedures you do. I have some silicone caps in case I need one, but I haven't used any yet. Some of my attys and tanks have been in use for months - not days - and they're still going strong. I also don't do radical cleaning. I blow them out when flavor starts reducing. If that doesn't work, I run hot tap water through them - blow them out - let them dry for a couple of days, and put them back in service. If you want to put them back in service sooner, run some Vodka though them as a last step, and they will dry much quicker. I have two attys that have been going over 4 months - haven't taken them apart - cleaned them in a non-radical way - and put them back in service. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the use of any glue because you might be vaping part of it. Just use care in seating your caps and making sure everything is seated all the way. Better, follow the instructions above.
