All batts - 650mAh joye eGo-c....left to right Baby T3, evod, mini protank, Tabac BCC/T3.

From Sun Vapors - fast shipping - wasn't due until tomorrow. Holds over 2ml, great flavor on my Habana Reserve. Easy draw. This is a "2.5Ω" coil (meters at 2.61Ω). Better vapor than the evods at that rating. Getting a 1.8Ω unit from juicemafia tomorrow or monday....

Curious, why such a long skirt at the bottom? I think it looks great.

My best guess is that there is more surface area for the glass on the upper part. The lower part is two pieces - the holder and the coil piece. On the T3, MT3 and baby T3, the coil/holder is one unit. Still it seems a bit longer for some reason as the evod and now the T3s also have holder and coil.

One thing different so far... when I refill the Tabac BCC/T3 there is always a release of a bit of ejuice out the mouthpiece - I've always though that it was from the release of the pressure system which is tight for me and the Tabac's - no leaks, except that bit when refilling. No ejuice out the mouthpiece on the mini which either the internals are a bit different or the seals are better. One still has to eyeball the one silicone o-ring by the threading on the mini as on the T3..... and pretty sure you have to make sure the coil is tightly screwed in. One thing that like about the T3 is the knurled base which makes it easier to unscrew for filling, but I'm getting by ;-)

I put in the 1.8 ohm coil - better vapor....

Good pic.

I'm liking the looks of the mini ProTank. I always heard the original Protank was top heavy and looked a little odd on ego batts. The mini seems to be a great fit all around. Still not sure if I wanna shell out the $ for one though. That was the main deterrent for me with the original too.

juicemafia had a good price $8+ but no longer in stock. heath cabin $11+ ... but yeah.... unless you have some ejuice that only glass is good, then the tabac bcc is the best choice, imo.

The protank looks better on a tube mod than the eGo, imho.... I've used it on both but the eGo's suit me fine with the eliquids I'm using with the regulated voltage on mostly 1.8Ω coils and the mini looks better and isn't that different in volume either.

You're right, the protank looks great on the ProVari. On the eGo... a bit mismatched, but the cone adapter does give it a sleeker look.

I take it you're a bottom coil fan. I recently got an EVOD and while it's not bad I'm still on the fence a little bit. I've been using my T2 more lately. When it's working well I get better vapor out if it than the EVOD. And, I guess I'm liking the warmer vape too. Although the T2 has its gurgling issues.

What voltage are you using with the 1.8 ohm coils? I find with the T2 I'm good at around 3.6v (eGo Twist) with LR heads (2.0 ohm I think).

I was T2/CC carto before moving to the Tabac BCC. I think there's a quality difference between the Tabac vs. the T3 but their virtually the same. The one thing I liked about the Tabac vs. the T2 were the silicone rings. The 'inside' one in the T2 can get out of place rather easily - but once you know that you can keep it in place on refill and they worked well. I preferred the no dry hits of the tabac bcc vs. the T2 - mainly because of the bottom coil. However, I haven't had as good a luck with the evods. Gurgling and juice in the mouth with the evod vs. none with the tabac bcc's. I've tried some of the fixes on the evods and they were better, but I also don't like the metal skin or the mouthpiece on the evod and the lower volume so I'm pretty much 'all tabac bcc'.

I got the mini protank just to see how they were and may use them on two flavors that can tend to crack plastics - mentholyptus and absinthe. I've cracked some T2's with both and one T3 with the mentholyptus which is 'medicine cabinet strong' ;) IF I find better flavor on my other flavors, I may switch over to the mini's but I've tried some of my flavors on the regular protank and only a few 'benefit' from the glass over the plastic. I have no consideration on 'outgassing'... I was a 3 pack a day smoker :D

I'm using eGo-c upgrade batts and using them in the 'constant mode' 3.3-3.4Volts for the 1.8ohm coils. One flavor can take the 'variable mode' which is just a regular 3.7v cycle, which is warmer. The lighter flavors ylang ylang and lotus flower, I use the 2.2ohm coil. The 2.4/2.5/2.6 ohm coil is way too light for my lightest flavors and unfortunately, some vendors sell the clearos with those 'oem'. For my espresso mix I use an eGo Twist set at 4.4-4.5v with the 1.8ohm tabac bcc.

Update on the mini protanks. I have two going. The draw on these is too easy and on the one I've plugged one of the three air holes on the lower band and two holes on the other. That helps. I thought I had a 1.8Ω coil from an evod which will fit but I couldn't find it. I found a 2.2Ω and it's a bit light for the flavors I'm using the mini on. I've also tried my other daily vape flavors and only two taste better on the mini protank. Don't know why that is, but it's just the case on about 4 other flavors that taste better with the Tabac BCC's.

That said, these really don't leak as long as all the seals are in place and the tank is clearly tightened to the batt connecting band (the long part). And no ejuice out the mouthpiece, no gurgling. I'm hoping the 1.8 or perhaps the 1.5Ω coils do better for my other flavors. I miss the knurled piece of the Tabac/T3's as the slick surface of the long batt connect piece is hard to get a good hold sometimes. Also prefer the more quantity 3ml of the Tabac over the mini 2+ml esp. since the size isn't that much different. For 'stealth' the Baby T3 is better, esp. on a mini eGo :)

I should also say that the metal mouthpiece is not as bad as I imagined it might be. In the A/C it's cool lol...

that IS nuts.
1) Most places are still waiting to GET the mini
2) I think the mini-2 is UGLY.

I get that people want to use their own drip tips, but still...just doesn't look like as well finished a design as the Protank and MiniProtank.
I might have to get a couple Mini's before the 2 comes out.

I just saw this in another thread:

Kanger mini Protank-2 starter kit

How long has the mini protank been out? And already they're about to launch the mini protank 2.

What's been updated for Protank-2 ? (and the mini I presume)....

1: Stronger base
2: Glass can be replace
3: Coils are work with Protank-1 and Mini-protank
4: Glue-free (to compete with the puritank?)

plus you can change mouthpieces, I think. ;) Number 3 is nice - the main part is still interchangeable plus you can use evod coil units as well.

I agree and as I mentioned the metal mouthpiece isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I still prefer the Tabac BCC/T3 on many layers... I wish they would have just made a glass tank for that one. lol. Maybe they will   And I'm not crazy about the T3s for the same reason as you on the mini - ugly - has the evod mouthpiece which I don't like and tends to get juice in it - see my original picture  ;)

Got my PT mini this last Thursday and I love it. Since switching from cartos to clearos I needed a glass one for one of my favorite cinnamon/clove juices. I've got it on my 1000mah stainless steel Twist and it looks sharp on that thing. I agree about the PT Mini 2, doesn't look as nice. Honestly I prefer the unified design of the PT/PT Mini and EVods. Don't have to worry about drip tips and they're comfortable enough imo.

I know the regular sized protank II can take your own drip tips, but all the mini Protank II's I've seem do NOT. ???

The mini protank II has not been released except for a few betas and the promotion shows changeable drip tips. See my other post in another thread here....

I tried a kanger once and it tasted like plastic, it was like vaping a barbie doll. Does the kanger mini protank have that same issue?

Never have gotten a plastic taste from mini protank... but I don't get that from the tabac bcc or T3 either. And for some reason I've never vaped a barbie doll. I do get a taste from fillers from cartos - why I don't use them...
