joyetech told me to contact vendor, vendor said since it's been more than a cpl of months (it's been no more than three) they can't replace it. btwn having to ship back twice bc the heads were recalled and now this, i am pretty POd.

yea idk about this leakage theory, my splitfire pretty much never leaks. tried the factory reset, no dice.

just to update, after the vendor refused to replace the control head, I contacted joyetech and they asked about the details of my issue and had me fill out a return or exchange application. looks like they contacted the vendor bc I just got an email from them saying they're sending a new control head with return label.

def impressed with joyetech, just hoping I don't have anymore issues.

Chinese companies normally suck at customer service (Smoktech is awful) I'm really very impressed that they obviously value their customers and support them after the fact.

This is why I think JoyeTech is a reputable company and will continue to do business with them. They stand behind their products within and even sometimes beyond their warranted period.

I would think that JoyeTech has to be the largest manufacturer of ecig s in the world, and they do want to protect their reputation.
The cost of correcting this has to be mimimal for them, and I do believe they will do the right thing.

I've had my eVic shut off when I popped the tank up over the cartomizer for refilling. I find that very strange.

Just wondering, does your Evic shut off randomly? I have my Evic on sleep 60 mins and sometime just after 5 mins of vaping I grab my Evic to take another hit and find that it shut off.

Have you tried popping in another battery? Does it seem to happen when at a low-ish charge? Thought I heard of this happening due to voltage fluctuation at low charge or with like the stock battery.

I've found that if I set it down on it's end (as in on the battery cap) with more than a certain amount of force, the battery, having the mass/inertia that it has will compress the spring in the battery cap sufficiently as to cause it to break contact between the top of the battery and the top contact...hence the powering off.

Not talking slamming it down, but more along the lines of letting it drop an inch onto the bathroom sink flat surface area (seems where I do it the most..I think my wooden coffee table absorbs some of the shock). That lil drop is when I will find a minute or two later that it has shut off.

I have found that to happen to me quite often as well. If I am putting my eVic back in my front pocket, and I let go right as I put in in my pocket, and it travels down and hits something (say change, flash drive, etc) hard enough, the spring will contract just long enough for the battery to loose contact and shut down the unit. Happens maybe once every few days. Not a big deal, the VAMO does the same thing. (really need to find a better way to carry it one day lol)
