This weeks review is the Joyetech eGrip all in one PV in a tiny device.

LiPo and LIon cells are essentially the same technology (depending on the chemical version you get), LiPo in fact tend to be a newer 'technology' (i.e. chemistry). The only difference between them is LiPo is 'flexible' and LIon is not (and tends to come in a 'tin' can to protect it).
I have used both battery types extensively (I am a remote control car/helicopter/drone freak) and, used correctly, they are both perfectly safe.

I am sorry to say though, I have not dismantled the device to explore and find out what the cell inside it is. I would guess it to be a 16500 or 16650 cell with solder tags.
