Joyetech Evic problem setting the current time

I can't set the time on my evic. When I try, it locks up and I have to take the battery out, put it back in, just to get it working again. I've tried factory reset, upgrading the firmware, nothing has worked. Any ideas? I just got it and everything else seems to be working fine.

Doesn't sound like there is much more to do... I would suggest uninstalling the program, and after rebooting your computer, reinstall. Give it another try!

If it's new I'd try to return it.

had the problem once, took the battery unit out (the metal tube for the battery), held the power button and then after letting go of the button I put the battery unit back on

Tried uninstalling the program, that didn't help. I took the battery out and held the power button, but as I read this again, I think you are saying to take it apart, the outside metal part that the battery fits in?
