Supposedly its like 20%, which is alot, but not sure.

I dont get why they are doing that now though, their are so many different PVs out now.
If the eGo is 20% more, then its really not that great of a deal anymore for a new vaper. If thats the case, then a Riva or E-Power(and quite a few others) would be a much better deal/value than the eGo to start out

I just got an email from a supplier...
.
May I ask which supplier? I'm always leery when anyone blames a hike on the manufacturer, especially when a market is as competitive and dynamic as the vaping genre. Competition and obsolescence almost always drives prices down.

Probably litecig, at least I got a similar e-mail from them.

New Joyetech pricing update.

We wanted to take this time to email all our customers, as joyetech has recently issued a mandated pricing schedule.
We have had to update our pricing off all joyetech items to remain a joyetech distributor. We prefered to send this email rather then you have to find out the new prices by going to the site. All joyetech kits, atomizers, batteries, etc... have been updated to their new mandated retail pricing. We apologize for any inconvenience will cause, but it was not our decision for these prices.

If you have any question please feel to voice your opinions to : support@litecigusa.net

We are working with joyetech to possibly get the pricing slightly back to where it is. You will however find that all retailers selling authentic joyetech products will also be adjusting their pricing to remain able to sell joyetech products.

On a brighter note please keep in mind we will be having a BLACK FRIDAY SALE, and a CYBER MONDAY SALE.
Emails will be sent a couple days ahead of the sale with the coupon codes for the sales.

Thank you,

The LiteCigUSA TEAM

My local vendor put up a message about Joyetech prices being raised yesterday on FB.

"Also note that Joyetech is soon to be rolling out mandatory retail pricing. We're already pretty close to their suggested prices so we're not sure if we'll be asked to change ours but you'll probably see other vendors making adjustments. Those who don't comply will be cut off. Joyetech is trying to really market their brand. Some of you may have noticed the new packaging that has been coming out."

That was from Vapor Kings FB page.

I'm pretty sure apple products like the Ipad and Ipod have fixed prices.

Yes that's true but Apple also runs an entirely different software suite on their products and product design differs greatly.

My feeling with the Joye products is that you can get the exact same product for a cheaper price and it will still work reliably and are compatible with all the products they sell. Since items like the iPod run different software and have different apps for them, you can't find an alternate that does the exact same thing. Same functions yes, same execution no.

I know that when I stack a Riva and an eGo batt side by side, the Riva performs the same if not better and there is very little that fits on the eGo that I can't use on the Riva.

Only when sold in a Apple store. Anyone else selling the product (by law) can place the product "on sale" at their discression.

The end result of that would be Joyetech would be "no more" in the US.
If I was a large supplier, I would file an antitrust suit in a heartbeat.
