Joytech Evic VT "new coil, same coil"

I just purchased the tc mod evic VT by Joytech. When I took it out of the box and put the atomizer on the mod it read "new coil, same coil" and asked me to verify. I did, and hours later it started to display the same message almost every time I try to take a puff and it's so frustrating! Why does it keep on asking me that? (Is it because my coil could be burnt?)

More likely loose or the topper isn't firmly screwed down. The reason it's doing that is the resistance if fluctuating. When it sees a change of resistance, it wants to know why. It could also be you're running a TC coil in wattage mode, or vice versa.
