Juice darkens over time, in Vivi Nova?

Hi there

So, ever since I got my regular sized Vision Vivi Nova, I've noticed, that after a few top-offs (like 3-5 of them, usually when I'm at about 1 ml left in the clearo), the juice starts darkening?
I'm using Vanilla 18mg, by Liqua. The coils in both are homemade at 2.3 Ohms. The dark juice tastes normal, so I don't think it's burning or anything, it's just really thick, dark juice, when compared to the fresh juice.
I read that this is usually because of heavier particles in the juice or something like that, according to some, but it happens rather quickly in the regular Nova, compared to the Mini, anybody else noticed something like this too?
I've attached a picture of the regular Nova, as it is now, after maybe 4 top-offs or so, and the Mini is on its second top-off (apparently ECF thinks they look better sideways, sorry).
Any input appreciated

I think its just crud on the wicks bleeding color back into the tank.
My tanks do it also.

So you're suggesting cleaning/changing the coil and wicks?

Yes clean the coil, should be fine. I've read it's recommended to clean every 2-3 fills.

Hmm alrighty then, don't think it's been that long since I cleaned it though, but sure, I'll give a nice scrub next time it's (close to) empty.
I just find it a bit weird, as I don't remember seeing juice getting so dark in the Vivi Nova Minis, but if that's just because I'm using this one more, I don't know...

I just noticed, that the wicks I cut (1 mm silica btw) for the rebuilt heads, are slightly longer than the stock ones. They're very close to, if not actually touching the base of the clearo - could that have some negative effect as to the juice turning dark? I just figured it would cause juice to flow a tad easier...
I know, probably totally irrelevant, just trying to figure out why I'm seeing this in the regular sized Nova and not so much in the Minis, using the same juice.

Its just the gunk on the coil turning your juice dark. Clean & dry burn every 2-3 fill-ups. That should help. It could also be the flavor youre using, some tend to gunk up quicker than others.

Also, a regular Vivi Nova is about twice as thick as a mini. So you're looking through a much thicker expanse of liquid, which makes it appear darker.

That's a pretty good point, never really thought about it that way
Anywho, cleaned it last night and will try to remember cleaning it after 2-3 refills this time, to see if that helps. Of course I'll lose a few drops of juice from the wicks that way, but hey, better than binning 1 ml or more, due to it being damn near solid at the bottom of the clearo

Also... I clean/dry burn my MINI nova's every 2-3 top off's. With the larger tank, you may wanna do it every time depending on the juice. I usually just keep 2 heads in rotation.
