Certain flavors make me really anxious - cola, cherry, and some of the other fruits and candy types in particular. I seem to have a sensitivity to some artificial flavors whether in food or eliquids. It's the same intense teeth grinding feeling I get from MSG.

If the difference between 5 and 24 mg makes it go away, I'd say cut down on the nicotine.

I vaped for about 2 months, started on 24 then cut down to 5, But fell of the wagon over Xmas and starting on analogues again, so put myself back on 24mg last month, At the moment I have a selection of 24,18 and 5mg juices, I use the 5mg at night. I definitely think its the juice making me anxious, or at least the 24mg juice, I don't recall having this issue the last time I switched to vaping though. Just trying to narrow this down.

Try 16-18mg. It still has some nice hit.

Also - if you are new vaper - cigarettes have chemicals in them that act like an MAOI which are anti-depressant/anti-anxiety drugs. It takes a few weeks to really get the cigarette's 4000 chemical effects out of your system.

And I had equipment anxiety - fear that the equipment would fail, or I would fail to charge the other battery (happened twice when I was depending only on a PCC case). What finally fixed that was I bought real chargers for work and spares for everything including batteries, chargers, atomizer, cartomizers, plenty of juice. I started carrying two charged models and charged spare battery for each, and a PCC for one. Later I added to that a 3.7v 650mah charged battery. Now I have so much equipment with me, anything could fail and I would still have stuff to vape all day and more spares at home.

I had "what if it dies" anxiety! I also get "what if they make it illegal" anxiety when I read too many calls to action. I did experience trouble sleeping and have managed that by vaping less 90 minutes or so before bed. My first juice was 24mg and I found it was too much for me, even though I'd been a heavy smoker. I bumped down to 18 mg and have had no issues since.

So definitely try a lower strength, drink lots of water to keep you hydrated and to flush out left over chemicals from smoking. Good luck and keep us posted on how you're doing.

I found this happening to me this morning at work, I chalked it up to mild nicotine overdose. As soon as I laid off the PV everything settled down. I drink a lot of Red Bull, and rarely get jittery from that, but it was the same feeling. I happened to be showing off my new mega dual coil carto to a couple of the guys at work, and was hittng my PV more than I would normally at that time in the morning, so I put two and two together. After I put it down for a while, I felt normal as could be.

Atomizers also gave me anxiety. They start getting cranky after a while and this one morning I had to fight with the atomizer and cart for 30 minutes just to get one good drag out of it. The solution was to use cartomizers instead.

I also had bedtime anxiety of having to decide which drag was my last and THEN have to disassemble stuff and set up stuff charging right before bed. My spare batteries solved that. Some time late night (but not right before bed) I set up my spare batteries (2 models) with cartomizers and set the other stuff on to charge. A bit closer to bedtime I top off the cartomizers in both spares. And I just leave the spares laying assembled overnight. That way there is no bedtime stress, and if I happen to get up during the night they are laying there waiting, and when I get up in the morning I don't have to screw with assembling anything.

Nicotine is a stimulant. That fact is masked in cigarettes due to the MAOI's and other chemicals in cigarettes.

This is totally true. Before vaping, I tried to quit with nicotine gum. Went with the high nic version (4mg I think?) and I was a basket case when I used it... couldn't sit still, very anxious and jittery. But, I could hot box 2 or 3 cigs in a row with no similar effects.

Just adding my vote for too much nic.

Started at 24mg too, thinking that going from smoking a pack of 99s a day that would be appropriate. Way too much for me. Gave me a really weird head rush... Nothing like the nauseating rush from having too many cigs, or the light-headed rush from smoking the first cig after being on the plane for 10 hours. More like I had been awake for 24 hours and was running on energy drinks.

I use mostly 18mg and 12mg now, works much better. It's surprising how much of a difference a few mgs make.

Thats exactly how I felt, I've ordered some 11mg juice, surly I should be ok with this? I think the problem is when you give up analogues at least with me anyway the pv is never out of your mouth, and if your constantly sucking 24mg it can't be good.

Yeah, definitely too much if you're on it the whole time. 11mg should work out much better for you.

I was the same at first, too. From what I understand, that's because there are other addicting substances in analogs, not just nicotine. Ecigs give you the nic and satisfy the habit, but those other chemicals are still missing. Fools your mind into thinking that if you just vape some more, you be able to satisfy those cravings. But all you're getting is straight nicotine, so you end up vaping like a chimney. Always stuck in "just a little more" mode.

It settles down after a while. But until then, low nic liquids are the way to go.

Good info here. Too much nic can make you jumpy and the next step may be dizziness and nausea. If you don't want to waste the juice you have, order some in a lower nic level with the same flavor and mix them. Add the two nic levels together and divide by 2 for the same volume of liquid. To cut nic to 12mg, order some 0 nic juice and mix it in equal quantities with your 24mg juice.
