Ok I need some advice. I've only been into vaping for a little less than 2 months...I reached out to a vendor (ahlusion) and gave them my setup...I have an OMG All Day 6ml tank setup that uses 808 cartos and runs at approx 4v or so. The vendor told me that because they use natural and organic liquid, they don't recommend cartos of any kind and to use an atomizer instead.

I'm pretty disappointed because I've invested money in a setup that I thought would suit pretty much everything I wanted to do. I figured any juice would work great in it. I have used some juice from Highbrow Vapor who also uses all natural extracts and have had nothing but a great experience with it.

So how could it not work fine in my setup? If I do need to get an atomizer at some point, what are some recommendations? What do I need to make it work? I'm assuming just a batt, the atomizer and a tip? I don't need the best of the best, but certainly dont want a piece of junk either.

thank you for any and all advice :)

I'd guess that some of their extracts may react poorly with the polyester filling in cartos. Personally, I don't doubt it, as I've seen similar circumstances before. I quit using any polyfill gear because I could often taste it.

If you like big tanks, then I don't suppose that dripping in an atty would be very appealing. A bottom-feeder with a good atty could be a good solution.

I'd probably try it in a filler-less tank, like the Vivi Nova, and keep an eye on the tank for cracks or clouding, and/or get the metal tank replacement.

I'm not familiar with their juices personally. Are their juices also 100% vg or very thick? Some all-vg juices are not carto friendly, such as Boba's Blend from AVE. On the other hand, I have 100% vg organic juices from Virgin Vapors and they work fine in my cartos; they may need 2 instead of just one hole in the carto.

I've got a few of the Smoktech Titan (screwtank) tanks that are Smoktech's version of Vivi Nova's. Although they are super easy to fill and provide lot of vapor, some of my juices are muted in them, compared side by side with the same juice in a cartotank. With some juices they work fine enough, though.

I do both, sometimes side by side, and I can attest to that.

Really? I've been sitting on the fence for quite some time resisting the urge to try a vivi nova. I am afraid that the experience is going to resemble previous clearomizer/ce2 types that I have used. Mostly the muted flavor thing is what bothers me the most. I'm starting to think I just have to try it for myself :p

As far as ahlusion's juices go, I have used them in various delivery devices and it's always been just fine. I never went thicker than 50/50 pg/vg. The juices performed just fine in cartos when I used them. Perhaps you won't get the full on layered experience many "Ahlusionists" talk about, but it certainly doesn't ruin the entire vape. (IMO of course)

I have been VERY happy with the Vivi Nova! (and the mini as well)

I agree with that. Vivis are hard to beat.

I'm confused. In your topic title, you said they told you not to use cartos.
Here, you say they don't recommend them.

To me, there is a big difference between those 2 things. :)

I'm assuming they recommend setups that will "bring out" the flavors in the way they make their juice. I doubt that means you *can't* use in a carto. I've got Ahlusions in a carto right now and it vapes just fine. :)

I guess you have to try it and see, let us know what ya think.

For those using 100% VG, I just dilute with some distilled water, and/or if you can handle refilling, the "shorty" cartos are like a dream to vape 100% VG in.........less batting/polyfill does the trick!

i am a bit confused...i emailed ahlusion with my equipment which is a provari mini with a glass tank and boge cartomizer..the response basically was they don't think they have anything that would suite me and directed me to another vendor...i also stated that i have not been vaping that long and up to now have only found a couple of flavors that i liked....did i do or say something wrong?? someone please advise me...

Wow! 2 posts in the same night about the same thing, from 2 new members both asking for "advice" regarding the same vendor? I know this campaign season, but dang!

Is that crab juice I smell? Whatever it is, it is something fishy!

I love my vivi mini nova, but for dripping (since the OP asked about it) I like a LR306 atty with a Cannon drip tip (made by Cherry Vape). I bought my first LR306 from another vendor before I got turned on the the Cannon, but you can buy them together in a set from the Cherry Vape website.

ETA: I like the Cannon because it's large enough that I can drip without putting on my reading glasses. (Where is the Little Old Lady emoticon?)

Something is off here.

Personally, after using Boge carto's for over a year, I switched up my gear and went the atty route. It brought new life to juices I thought were dead. I don't have the time or patience for dripping and my coordination skills are on par with a 2 year old with spaghetti. Squeezy juice box much?? Absolutely... but that's just me. YMMV. I still use the occasional carto and keep my Leo Pro on hand, but preferences tend to lean the atty way.

My own dealings with Ahlusion leave me quite puzzled over this entire issue. "Move along, sir" just doesn't fit my experiences and I emailed them before I ever bought from them for the sole purpose of knowing if they were going to be the right vendor for me and which juices I should look into. Not only did I get a detailed and friendly response; but I was recommended a juice I hadn't looked at before...and after having said juice..I have to admit, it's a favorite of mine. My second email to them was talking about a type of juice I am looking for but did not see on their site. Another detailed, super friendly response was in my in-box quickly, once again helping me through.

To be quite honest, I would have to see the gist of the emails from both potential customer and response from vendor and then make my own conclusion from there, because not once was I steered away from said vendor because a carto lurks in my vaping stash...somewhere. There's more to this than what is being posted on this thread. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong anytime.

I resisted getting a Vivi Nova mainly because I was making a conscious effort of avoiding any tank device that still utilizes a polycarabonate tube. When Smoktech came out with their vivi clone Titan or Screw Tank with a polypropylene tube, I bought a few of those. I liked them at first, mainly because of the ease of filling them, nice capacity, and excellent vapor. Then I noticed that some of my juice flavors were muted in them, and tried the same juice side-by-side with a carto tank. The cartotank won hands down. Some flavors are muted so much that I can't tell what flavor I'm vaping. I have a Provari and even tried the muted flavors at different voltages...same result.

Just goes to show that everyone's vaping experience is different, and you need to try things for yourself to really know and not trust others' opinion.

You're absolutely right. Not everything works for everyone. I'm going to give them a try next time I'm in the ordering mood..the replaceable heads are kind of nice. In my experience, it seems like the previous clearos and similar devices I've tried worked well until I cleaned them so it very well could be this will work quite nicely with the replaceable heads.
