Hey all

I have just learned that some juice vendors do their own tobacco steeps and/or absolutes, and was wondering if any of you knew which vendors they were.

Also, I have been looking to place an order with Highbrow, and on the website it says that their pomegranate is grown on the family farm and processed by hand. Hmmm? This got me to wondering about which other vendors do this, and do they do this for all of their flavors, or just some?

Honestly, I am just trying to figure out who the uber elite juice vendors are, not for their flavors, but WHERE their flavors come from.

Alright ECF...SCHOOL ME!

*EDIT* I can't change the thread title, so by STEEP, I mean a tobacco steep.

Goodejuice has a house brewed in which they extract their own tobacco

want2vape extracts a lot tobaccos: red pirate, Alcazar, blondie (from Acid Blondie Cigar), tabac especial (also a cigar brand), managua, london, louisville

Quick nic Ejuice has a couple tobacco extracts: Habana Daydream and Grandpa's Night Cap

Vaperite's organic/natural tobaccos are made in house. I think their other natural/organic flavors are bought

Ahlusion's website says that they make 80% of their natural flavorings in house

I'll take a shot at it.

What he is referring to is say you go to ecblends and order 60/40 rootbeer extra flavor it is blended and bottled for that one order then shipped. Not practical to keep every possible variation mixed and steeped (the term many here refer to as aging).

Seems maybe there is some confusion in terminology where steeping could used also as extracting natural flavors.

Thanks for clearing that up OCD.
When I say steep, I mean the extraction method, as it relates to tobacco. Maybe I should say maceration.
I absolutely expect to steep my own juices. As a matter of fact, I don't want juices that are pre-mixed and sit on a shelf.
I changed the thread title to avoid any further confusion.

I think Halo e-juice is a top-notch vendor but no personal experience with 'em. Johnson Creek lets their juice steep for ten days before selling it.

Yeah I heard that Halo makes their own tobacco extracts. I have been meaning to try them out.

I should have never used the word steep in the title.

Virgin Vapor. (She's still working on tobacco though)

Does Annette make her own flavor extractions?
I have had a chance to try some of VV's juices. They are very clean, indeed. Can't wait to give her tobacco juices a try when she gets some made.

I just ordered a number of juices from Ahlusion. He's pretty serious about his juices and making sure people get what they want. His flavors are very good. Taste is subjective, but I'm really pleased with the orange creamsicle, and the strawberry banana cream.

Moving Ahlusion up another notch.

I think so, but I'm not sure...I'm sure she would answer your question in the VV thread, she's very forthcoming!

She does have a tobacco tester in the works, if you order again, just ask her for a sample in the comments section.

Good idea Kittypie. I guess asking the vendors directly would be the best way to find out if they create their own flavors.

I am really trying to differentiate between vendors who just use natural ingredients from the ones who take the time to make their own flavors in house. The word "natural" is misused by many companies, not just juice vendors, and it's just an advertising buzz word IMO. "Organic," on the other hand, is a different story, as that must be certified, but it still doesn't tell the customer WHERE the flavor is made, or by whom. I am still confused

Thanks Kemosabe.

I may have to rethink what I am looking for in a juice. I just read Vapenstein's sticky, and I may be coming at this the wrong way. I definitely look for USA juicers that AT LEAST have natural flavorings, whatever that may mean.

I would still like to know which vendors have invested in their own extraction equipment, and do as many of their extractions in-house, tobacco or otherwise.

I need to do some more reading....

The vendors I mentioned earlier, plus Highbrow Vapor and Vermillion River Classic Blend, all extract their own tobacco flavorings. The thing that sucks about this is that there really is not a whole lot of companies that do this. All taste different and unique in their own way. Once you develop a taste for it nothing else compares. I can't do any artificial tobacco anymore. For example I just bought some Halo samples and hated them. They make artificial tobacco flavorings. It's still a top notch company just not my style

I was under the impression that Halo did their own natural tobacco extractions.

I just checked with Bryan at Highbrow, and he says that they do 75% of their own extractions, including tobacco, vanilla, coffee, and fruits. The rest are all natural extractions that come from other sources.

I know what you mean about the artificial tobacco flavors. I got some freebie Hangsen tobacco juices, and it doesn't even come close to what I'm tasting with BWB and Vermillion. Just completely different animals.
