Jumping into the Big League: from Provari to the Reo

Hey guys, this is my 1st post. First and foremost, I want to say thanks to all of you helpful posters on ECF for helping me stick with ecig with your knowledge and insights. I been a lurker on these forums for the last several months and I have been able to absorb alot of neat stuff like "to go" juice vendors, accessories, and got me into the world of the Provari.

I love my Provari, but Im aching for something new so Im currently interested in a bottom feeder setup. I know the Reo is king but it also expensive. I wouldnt mind putting some serious bucks on the Reo, but I was hoping to get some insightful aid from u guys to getting an awesome bottom feeders experience. I know people here are more than helpful sometimes, so can one of you or some of you in the ECF community guide me with the 411 on what to buy and where to buy? I would really appreciate it and once again, this community is awesome when it comes to these kind of suggestions. Keep up the good work guys...

Dude! REO is a waste of $ and a serious downgrade from the Provari. You have the Rolls Royce of PV's. Why buy a Chrysler?

ETA: I love my ProThingy, but there are other wonderful devices out there to play with

From what I read on here, the Reo or bottom feeders in general, gives you a different vaping experience than a PV like the Provari. Maybe I just want to try a different mod. If there is a comparable but cheaper bottom feeder alternative than the Reo, I would love to know more. Thanks for the reply

Yes. There is a member, whose name I don't recall, who started a whole thread about that. I'll post a link if I can find it.

kwin, spend some time in the Reo's mods forum.
I will suggest you go for an RBA for it from the start, the vaping experience is sooooo much better.

There isn't that much to say really, they are quite simple and easy to grasp, and nothing is more handy, gives you a fantastic vape with no fuss.

I have a Provari, and shortly after I also got a Reo Grand. I liked the whole idea of bottom feeders, however, when I actually got it, for me, it was fussy, and not what I was looking for. I ended up selling the Reo after 1 month. However, your experience may be different from mine, as we are all different. Reo has a subforum and the people there are very nice and very helpful.

Hi Kwin, Welcome to ECF. It's a wonderful place, full of friendly, helpful people and sooo much information. I have a REO that just sits there lookin pretty. I could never get the "squonking" (the act of adding more juice to the atomier by squeezing the bottle) process down. From what I've read most people figure it out. There must be other ways to feed the juice up. Right now I drip juice on my other PVs and like that way of adding juice.

The REO is a quality, sturdy, and long lasting product. It's expensive, but worth it. If you've got the bucks, go ahead and give it a try. That's what we do in the beginning, try different mods til we find the one that's best for each person.

Sup Desert, i drip on my Provari too. I enjoy it but the explorer in me tells me to try the Reo haha. What kind of atomizer you use on ur Provari to get the best favor?

The one in my hand right now is a Mini 2.1 with a Reomizer 1.0 RBA, the mini was $144, the Reomizer $38.
You can always buy a "blem" Reo as well for a nice discount. Usually the so called blemish on the mod is hard to find.

The Reomizer 2.0 was just released, and it's a good improvemnt over the old one, the new is $43.

Yet for a daily workhorse which is easy to carry and delivers vape as good as anything, I'd much rather use a Reo than a Caravela.
The Caravela is nothing but a fancy battery holder. An incredibly good design and fantastically beautiful, but still just a device to hold a battery...

The great thing about quality devices is that you can get verified, list it in the classies and generally get back what you paid for it. It's like a free trial run assuming you don't damage it in the meantime.

Keep your Provari. The grass always looks greener on the other side, but you already have a great device that should last for quite a long time. Get your self an inexpensive IGO-L or Smok RDA, learn to wrap a coil and wick, and you'll have a great vaping machine with your Provari.
