As I puff away the last few days, I'm really amazed and happy with my mod that uses only 1x 16340 cell @ 3.6v:

DealExtreme: $5.50 TrustFire Protected 16340 880mAh 3.6V Rechargeable Li-Ion Batteries (2-Pack)

Good strong vapor, throat hit, and surprisingly long battery life, and compact. When I multimetered them, they seem to stay just above 4v for a while. I'm sure it's going much easier (compared to the widely accepted/used maddog 2xcr2@6v design)on the atomizer also. When I built my magnum, it fried my atomizer.

Just something to consider if you're going to DIY and are concerned about atomizer life. I highly recommend trying this configuration. Aloha!;)

Been lurking on the e-cig-forum board for awhile now and have been wanting to try out some of the mods but I'm still not really sure how to do it. I liked your water pipe conversion and the really simple mod you made about not going on a plane. How would I go about making them. I understand everything but exactly where to soldier what to what and this has been the only thing stopping me from doing my own mods for awhile. How much electrical or circuit knowledge is needed, in your opinion?
