I didn't opt for a "starter kit" But check out WizardLabs or ecigexpress. I've purchased flavors and nic from each. Re: specific flavor bases, I have LorAnn, Capella, FlavourArt, and TFA/TPA. I've not been displeased with any of my options.

I'd saved my bottles from previously purchased juices, so those just get washed and reused. I did order some graduated pipettes from a supplier on Amazon. The CAP and FA bottles all had drip tops. I don't do super-precises measurements - I get as close as I feel appropriate with the flavors and then top with my 50/50 mix. I went with the disposable pipettes because I'm "cheap" and lazy (I didn't want to have to constantly be washing syringes when I sit down to mix.)

I think it's quite a bit of fun - good luck!

I got a DIY starter kit and it came with some nicotine, PG and VG.

Good places for PG/VG and nicotine is Wizard Labs, My Freedom Smokes, RTSvapes places like that. People bought from them and didnt have any problems. And EcigExpress is good for flavors. I heard a lot of good about Bullcity but have yet to order from them myself.

I wrote this blog last night for the brand new DIYer to help them avoid the pit falls I encountered. See if it helps you.

to ecf cavemanlefancy. So glad you are here. DIY can be a lot of fun and there are some great threads on ecf to help. I'm proof that anyone can mix their own.

I am a pretty thrifty gal so I buy larger quantities because they are usually less expensive.

Nic - https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/nicotine-base-flavorings/nicotine-solutions/unflavored-nicotine-smoke-juice-e-liquid-liter-sale.html

PG and VG - http://www.essentialdepot.com/servlet/the-218/1-Gallon-Veg-Glycerin/Detail

Flavorings - I have used everything from Watkins found at Walmart to several vendors on ecf but I have found that I like the Vaping Zone Gourmet and Super Concentrated flavors because you use drops instead of ml's and it just seems less expensive. I have also been very pleased with the 5 or 6 flavors I have tried so far.

Calculator - I used Do It Yourself E-Liquid (E-Juice) Recipe Mixing Station! when I was first mixing. I have gotten to be more of a mixing sloth so now I just add drops to unflavored nic juice I make. Works for me and has for a good while. Just depends on what you are wanting to make. There are some really good sites to get recipes.

Like I said there are some good threads on ecf and some wonderful people that have helped me all the way. Good luck to you and happy mixing.
