Alright. So my friend is going to buy a new e-cig. And told me he'd me his old one since I have been needing to get one for some time now. But he got his custom at this placed called "Totally Wicked". He's got the extended battery and the cartomizer that doesn't have the strings. But what I wanted to know is what type of cartomizer's produce more of a vapor? I couldn't find a solid answer somewhere. But I take it that most of the attachments you buy for e-cig's are adaptable to eachother, since his ecig battery went onto my mother's e cig, yet they bought them from totally different retailers. And my last question is, do most e-cig parts connect to other ones? or is there like separate models that only fit together when you mix and match that company's parts.

I use kanger t3's, vivi nova, and protanks all produce good vapor. vapor is usually due to the pg/vg mix. higher vg more clouds, higher pg more throat hit. as far as what works with each device. most have 510 threading meaning any 510 device works with other 510 devices. I can use ego's or zmax v5 with any of my tanks without issue.
the cart does have "strings" or wicks in them but if its a botton fed system with wont see them like you would in a vivi nova which it top fed

Welcome to the forum, Kyle!

I understand that you are new and this is a whole new world of vaping with confusing names and terminology. I have little clue which battery device you have without a name to look up. However, let me get you started on the right track with this picture dictionary of the more common juice delivery devices:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3230-1-proper-terminology-carto-tank-what-primer-juice-delivery-attachments.html

All of the "toppers" or delivery devices in the above link are totally capable of producing a lot of vapor for your needs. All are constructed a little different from one another and will provide a slightly different vaping experience. There is no "best" unless you have tried a few and found one that works best for you. Preferences are very subjective from one vapor to another. It's a good thing to have so many options available. If one is not to your liking, there are several other options available to try.
